It's dependant on each car, if acceleration is deemed too slow from standstill for a particular car and you have a custom gearbox installed, you could shorten the first gear or gears.
And if you suffer from too much wheelspin, you could tinker with the LSD settings.
As for driving techniques, I mostly just floor it which is a rather crude and no doubt ineffective method but I simply can't resist.![]()
I only do that in the older GT's for cars with stage 3 or higher turbo's, the lag in them was RIDICULOUS back then![]()
Its per car, try and rev it up to just under the peak of the torque curve.
Just under the peak so you get the entire curve, if it is high torque then its better to be slightly over.I would've said just over, that way when the revs drop as you let the clutch out, you won't bog down.
I found when doing some of the licence tests (the braking tests mainly) that some of the cars would launch better (when compared to the ghost) when I just floored it and kept the hammer down rather than feathering the gas pedal.
