Whats the story behind some seemingly strange differences between copies of GT5??

Could this difference be due to the recent updates? I don't have the internet at home yet, so I don't have any of them.
 
I have a US Collector's Edition. It only has the option to select tires in B-Spec mode. I hope this game mode gets and update soon... it seems tacked on.

Well that might be it.

I'd like to know whether X-Power and GTP_Norwegian1 are running the latest updates or not; because that's probably the reason.
 
Cause Bob doesn't need them? Don't think it makes any difference to him if we can't select the transmission or ASM, etc.
 
With both the US CE and standard copies of GT5 I tried, the options for transmission, tcs, asm, etc. were available. This is prior to any updates, as my PS3 isn't online.

I have a feeling that the options do a whole lot of nothing for B-spec Bob though.

My game has never had a single update, it's completely original. I installed my GT5 to the hard-drive, maybe that's why I can use the options?
 
Wait up are you guys even checking the same race? A lot of those options (and perhaps even the driving options menu) surely vary from race to race? I know that in A-Spec you can adjust a lot more things in some races than others.

Can somebody whose Bob has all those options clarify what race they selected? Thanks :)

...and that's why I can still use them. Once I get updated, I'm sure it'll change.

GTP Chris doesn't quite understand B-Spec.. at the time of the video.

I am in the US and I can not adjust Traction/ABS/Skid or anything other than Bobs tires. What I find weird is the DRIVING LINE is selectable. And a Manual transmission... Sounds like some coding was let out during production.

Physical Strength is no different than Strength. No big issue there, but it is a difference.

I think its true. I have Russian SE edition and i feel like ive seen those options earlier, but now i just cant find them.
And i think these helpers just really disturb to B-spec drivers like they can disturb to us: very pale accelerator reaction, very slow cornering etc. I REALLY want to shut helpers off for my drivers. And after that i wanna ask PD - why have they done this?

UPdate: its confirmed, that russian ce/se versions had this possibility to change all parameters in B-spec mode BEFORE the patch (Most likely - before the very first patch).

And I have a question: is it hard-cut for us or just mod from PD, which automatically regulates helpers according to D-spec drivers levels?

German CE here. Only tyres available.

I remembered the videos from Chris. And I wondered too why I don't have all the options that he had/have.

This is mysterious.

I had not updated the game until yesterday, and now all I can change is the tires.. Never should have updated I guess..
 
Mine's region 2 standard edition, cant edit anything but the tyres (which I catually can't change because of the restriction)
