What's up with Bob?

Sorry if this should be in the B-Spec forum; I figured I'd post this here since the B-Spec forum has been a ghost town lately.

So I'm doing the 24 Hours of Le Mans in B-spec (fun, I know) and I'm about nine hours, 15 minutes in. It stopped raining about 45 minutes ago, and the track has been drying rapidly. Bob pitted on his own (with track water at 85%) and switched over to intermediates. He was doing fine until about ten minutes ago, when he crashed at the Dunlop chicane. He crashed about three more times that lap and then wanted to pit again. So I put him back on rain tires and he's been doing fine but he keeps wanting to pit again. The track water is about 63% now. What's going on? Why does he want to pit? And why did he crash?

If it matters, he's using an FGT.

EDIT: He's crashed again using slicks. He's crashed using Intermediates. I want him to keep driving and stop crashing.

It's one thing creating a thread in the wrong place, but it's far worse to deliberately create a thread in the wrong place.

It's not "move if need be" because you know it's in the wrong place and we know it's in the wrong place, so go and create in the right place.

I learned this the haard waay. I suuggest you moove your threaad to the correct section befoore it gets locked. :sly:

I think he wants rain tires if the surface has 50% or more water. Anything lower, he'll be fine with Intermediate rain tires.

Afterall, it's Bob, he's an idiot, just let him do whatever he needs to do to keep ahead.

From what I noticed, all the AI in the B-Spec 24 Hours of Le Mans cannot race in the rain. When I did it, Bob went with Racing Hards at 50% track water and was sliding everywhere, same with the AI. I never noticed this in A-Spec though.:banghead:

There lots of factors.

You don't even say what LEVEL number the current bobs are at. (PD set up FGT event at level 23 and the first 24hr race is level 35. )

You missed out if hes the only bob your using, in which case he never going to refill his status bars and will make more mistakes.
If he's Knackered he's going to get Tyres and fuel use wrong as well as cornering wrong.

Rains Tyres will out last bobs energy bars as the team manager......

Your choice is let bobs and crew chief do there own thing and plan for them to get it wrong or manage the team and change drivers manualy.

You have chosen to over power the car choice for the event any way so looks like Management holiday was your plan.
( It back fired but how many laps was he leading by, its why you over powered the car after all, lol)

He wants to change back to Racing tires because he thinks the track will dry out before the next pit stop for a new set of RI. He may be right he may be wrong it could rain yet again.
If you had changed to SS he would drive till the tires were warn out as they are Both for rain and dry road sections and then change tyres again...to RM at the next pit stop if dry. RI don't last very long on dry tracks they will shread very very quickly.

Bobs are levels 33, 28 and 26, respectively.

I'm using as many bobs as I'm allowed to for this event, which is three.

And, I was going to use SS tires but the B-Spec version of this race bans sports tires; I'm limited to racing tires only.

It's all fine and dandy though; the track has completely dried, and he's back on RS tires. My guess is the physics modeling makes a drying track slipperier than a fully wet track. I recall bob being able to drive on the Nurb, on RH tires at 30% surface water and he was fine; then when the track was drying he was sliding all over the place.
