Did that "Fantasy" Camaro happen to have 900 bhp???

Isn't the GTO already out??? I hope they put in the Monaro, hopefully the 7.0 litre racing version...and a GTS Coupe for fun. :D

From what I read, the new GTO is a re-badged Monaro coupe(?)w/ left-hand drive & the 5.7 V-8. It's supposed to be imported very soon.

ha just took a camaro race car past 2 Japanese race cars.

That Camaro's got some nice power. The trick is getting it to stop & turn. I'm still tweaking.......

Yeh, the Pontiac GTO is just a rebadged Monaro with a few minor changes...the front grille is awful, i think it was released in America about 2-3 months ago at the least. (Sorry for going off topic)

go to gtvault.com and get a setup by a guy named fumes, this guy has some of the best setups ive ever seen.

Thanks, Bud. I've already got the site bookmarked. Just a matter of time.

I dunno, depends what car you're talking about, and if they were equal in PRICE, I'd think maybe a Supra or a Skyline could beat a Mustang...maybe not for straightline speed, but almost definitely in the turns.

Here is a Lotus Elan. It is slow. Here is a Lotus Esprit 350. It is fast.

Here is a Ford Fiesta. It is slow. Here is a Ford SVT Mustang Cobra. It is fast.

Here is a Nissan Micra. It is slow. Here is a Nissan R34 Skyline GT-R. It is fast.

Get you head up out of your ass and see that fast cars are fast, slow cars are slow and racism - for that is what it is - doesn't help anyone.

I wasn't being racist...but I was probably acting like an idiot...:\

thats bs, if this game was made in a neutral country, U.S. cars would smoke them Japanese.

India's pretty neutral but in a game made in India ALL the cars would drive like crap because Indian cars are crap.

I was thinkin more along the lines of North Korea, Iraq or Cuba with an outside chance of france....then u would see US cars drive really ****ty

... which I don't mean. ;)

And anyway, that's really not the point... I was trying to point out that it's silly to believe that a company's origin automatically dictates the quality of the product... I'm just sick of the whole "All American cars suck" attitude, because it couldn't be farther from the truth.

Like i said, I expected all the "Anti-American" stuff from people. The fact is, the real-life capabilites of the Viper, ZO6 'Vette & SVT Cobra R are not represented in the simulation mode of any GT game without EXTENSIVE tweaking:irked: And except for FWD cars and every Skyline I've tried so far, it's relatively easy to get any Japanese car to handle w/400, 500+HP (Skylines have always been pigs, it's only huge power +4WD that makes them worth anything.) Not that I mind shoving around a 700 HP 4WD car now and then.
Seriously though. The 3 cars mentioned earlier are entirely capable of competing w/any street car in the world. Bring in Hennessey, Lingenfelter & Saleen.......Goodbye!!!!!! Not to mention the UNSTOPPABLE ORECA Viper (Soon to return.) & 'Vette in GTS CLASS @LeMans.......
Going back to the game, to keep things in perspective....The TVR's are SWEET & the Vertigo is like freakin' glue on the track.......Other European cars to be explored as I progress.....Don't get me started on the Pagani:odd:

Let's just hope that they don't do this caristic approach in GT4

caristic - segregating cars :D I just made that up :D

Have you by any chance tried the American cars without TCS and ASM, tweaked out with only hp mods to about 600-900 bhp? If you accelerate out of turns with them, or any car with 600-900 bhp, you get the same effect...a big spin...I don't think the American cars are misrepresented, I just think there are a lot more Japanese cars, which is naturally expected...(duh)

Talking about tuners like Lingenfelter and Hennessey...bring in Top Secret, Mugen, or Spoon...those are probably the Japanese equivalents...I don't really care, but I think only being biased to American cars being the best cars in the world is wrong, I think Famine pretty much summed it up with his post before...

The fact is, I enjoy any car that's powerful & responsive. I'm just showing some national pride and giving retort to the "American cars suck" people (I know I set myself up for it);)

I certainly am not one of those people that goes and says, "This car sucks"...I am a car lover, but I just want to prove it doesn't matter WHERE a car comes from, it's quality that counts. :D

Never said you were....Just having some fun.

I was joking when I said "American cars blow.";)

I've owned 3 American cars, and 2 Japanese. The American cars may be quicker than the Japanese cars I've owned, but their build quality wasn't nearly as good. BTW- The only reason the American cars are quicker is because they're 2 Z28's, and a built Trans Am vs. an S2000, and a Lexus GS300.

I mean, just look at the Cadillac Sixteen. Who will drive it since gas prices are so high right now? It doesn't make sense.

Hehe, if you can afford that car then my guess is that you can also afford to run it. Fuel costs probably wouldn't hurt you ;)

grtz

Look, all cars have their advantages and disadvantages so could we please just stop judging cars from their place of origin.

They do this because is unacceptable to do it to people so they become car bigots instead. Very annoying indeed.
