i've spent less than 8k on parts... current 1/4mile time is 13.98 @ 99 mph, while boosting 7psi.

hopefully i'll be deep in the 12s by the end of the summer. more boost, tougher engine, more power!!

Heh, no prob.

I wouldn't have known that had I not went through a stage when I wanted a 1st gen DSM(preferably a 1991 Eagle Talon Tsi AWD). I wanted one because my friend Brett had one, and it was rediculously focking fast(after the TD05-20G was installed, of course)...especially from a stop. 350+ awhp owns...

hell yeah! friend of mine had one, a 93. he'd whoop on pretty much everything in the streets! wrecked it hard, and now he drives a silver WRX... which is still bone stock, but not for too long. :D

mmm, 20G... now that's a cheap and potent upgrade i'll have to look into!

im also thinkin bout puttng a type-r head of the engine in my gsr but what will that help if any one now cause i have like5 days to tell my freind ifi want it

The ITR head has hand-ported valves and more aggressive cams than the GS-R. So it should net you a few more horses immediately and bring greater power making potential.

Hey man, I'm pretty impressed, especially for another Honda. I had no idea you drove a honda... but the new avatar is pretty. But isn't the B18B/B18C combo known for overheating, or is that the "mini me" swap?

But I'm still VERY curious about darknite's car... darknite, are you sure that was an at-the-crank number?

edit:::: It's the mini me swap... my bad. Turns out that swap is just nice for torque:) but thats a relative term in honda-land....

about many horse am i gonna have after the type - r head if any one knows tell me cause i dontknow. I dont know what to put in first
turbocharger or type - R head ican aford both but i wont have both at the sametime till like april so what should do?

$1500?! I hope that's Australian dollars...

If that's how much he wants, I'd say ferget it. I'm sure you could port your GS-R head and get some nice turbo cams for less than that.

Punk? :)

power gains with the Type-R head? mmm... i'm not sure. It won't make that much of a difference, if you already have a GS-R engine.

save that money, 1500$ is too much for the head only, and spend it on a nice turbo kit, or a set of coilovers and some nice wheel/tire combo.

considering you already have a vtec head, its not worth your money to get the b18c5 head. the point of the frankenstein combo is to have a non vtec bottom end and vtec head.
id say definetly get a turbo kit with your money.
or just get a focking DSM or sr20 powered car(nx2k, classic se-r) and do better with your money :)

oh yah btw go turbo :)

ive seen a civic si making 270hp on a vortech supercharger run 14s. it peaked VERY high and didnt make squat down low.

id say go turbo definetly

hey man, well my cuzz have a 6 thousand engine, have youy heard of LS Vtec, its the fastest of GSR and Type R, it will cost like a lot, simply get a LS block and then get a B16 head and you get LS vtec, you will hit around 14 straight will all motor

err im kinda confused on your buying new greddy 'headers', b/c with a turbo you can only have a turbo manifold instead of the regular 'header'.
anyways, for the supra i'd just say do basic mods and get a boost controller and up the boost a bit, a bigger exhaust/downpipe, and maybe some more aggressive cams. I dont know that much specifically about the supra tt 2jz but I do know that just those few mods should net you a large power gain.

If you can afford a turbo get it. Supercharger is much cheaper. How much power increase are you hoping for. You wont have much traction in that FWD.

Wow this is one old thread. Reading it again, I doubt this kid was even telling the truth. not to be skeptical, but he didn't really know what he was talking about.
