Whats with the dodge dart?

I hope they fix the Dart as well. I just checked the car myself... If you swap the Viper CC engine in, everything improves. It will lose weight, gain HP, gain torque, improve the weight distribution - and yet, it loses more than a hundred PI points.

Leaderboard car or not, that's just plain dumb. I assume that's because the Viper CC's engine has a lower redline. Due to the close ratio four-speed gearbox, the swap probably causes the Dart to max out at a very low speed, which, in turn, means it's slow on the PI test track. Therefore, it gets such a low PI once you swap it in - which is, of course, pretty sucky. Throw a race transmission on the car, and it's going get ugly.

Yeah that doesn't make much sense.

Random PI drops isn't just for the Dodge Dart. I dropped a race trans in a car yesterday for free and it subtracted a few PI. I usually don't see any PI increases for race stabilizer bars or most trans upgrades. I usually see drops when I change from FWD to RWD.

Yeah, not sure about Forza's new PI system but I still think it's better than the one in FM3 with the massive drop in PI for AWD.

The PI system has been really good to me thus far, I've been racing a lot of D Class so far, and the open power tracks favour to the muscle cars and the tighter tracks favour to the smaller vehicles.

Many of the races, the ones you do in the first 15 levels, check the leader boards and the Dodge Dart fills the top slots. Man...I am off to pick one up! YEEEEEHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA 👍

Believe it or not I once bought a '75 Plymouth Duster off a car lot in the early 80's for $1500. What the car lot did'nt realise was that according to the VIN it was a factory high performance so I bought it immediately. It could only go in a straight line, but it had a 360ci , 2.02 heads,Weiand hi-rise, factory headers, 3.93 posi, 727 torqueflight, custom order buckets with three in the tree...

The best part.....it ran a 12.00 1/4 mile at cache creek, the fastest $1500 car in the world I joked. The Dart sure brings back some memories, but I don't miss tightening the door panels and glovebox door once/week because the cam rumbled them loose again!

*Does not compute* Hopefully you know that the phrase is "three on the tree", and it refers to a 3-speed manual?

You know, the biggest issue isn't even with FM4's PI system. The biggest problem (in my opinion) is that people will jump on a car that will give them free wins. To me, it's not worth winning if I know I'm having a serious advantage. That just doesn't feel right, so I'm avoiding these kinds of cars like the plague.

Others, though, seem to jump on anything that will give them easy wins... I mean, to each their own, but if that wasn't the case, the leaderboards would at least not be littered with these kinds of cars.

Anyways, I do hope that T10 will fix the issues at hand. It doesn't seem like there are issues with a certain kind of car, just with specific models... So, fixing them shouldn't be that hard, I guess. As long as they don't go about "fixing" it like they did with FM3's Mosler MT900S, which dominated everything even harder than previous LB cars, It'd be fine...

This ^^^^^^^^👍

Nothing worse in FM3 than going into lobbies and it was me and 6-7 Celicas or S5's.

If that becomes the case with an old yank tank then it'll be pretty disheartening.

it's just a typo calm down . I had stage 3 manual valve body, so although no clutch it was still a manual shift for each gear.

Well if you think about it as in the engine size to weight, those old cars weight a lot. Imagine making a carbon fiber body of a dodge dart and then put it on there. It would fly :)

If you put the race transmission into the Dart it shoots it up to an A Class car.

I like the 1970 Sport Fury!

Me too!
I've had two Fury's. My first car was a 1971 Fury with the interceptor package. My dad bought it for me from a county auction. The car wasn't anything very special, big and ugly, but it was a lot faster than people thought. drove that in high school.

Then back in the 90's I bought a 66 Sport Fury that was mostly restored. The interior was immaculate and the exterior was primered and ready for paint. The only problem was the transmission (727 torque flight) was shot. However, the car came with three EXTRA trannys (which were all kept in the trunk). I took parts from all of them and tried to make 1 good one but the frictions in the clutch packs were all shot in each of them. Bought a rebuild kit, fixed it and drive that car for years. I really miss it.

Uhm guys, this isn't about whether muscle cars can be fast on a given track. It's about a car using the PI system to its advantage. This could be understandable if a car that was specifically built by its manufacturer to compete as a drag car was too good at drag racing.

However, the Dart is dominating everything. And the idea of the whole PI system is to prevent exactly that. This whole thing is in place to make sure that there is no dominating force in FM4, and it failed (again).

As I said, it was to be expected, and I'm not too sure on the extent of the issue. If the Dart is the only car that's that much of a problem, we might see a patch and LB wipe, soon.

Reminds me of the Dyson Mazda B09/86 from FM3, dominating literally EVERYTHING. Soon enough though--and this is no joke-- I've been online with my A600 Prius, and have just destroyed every single other A-class car in the entire field. Turbocharged Prius with Advan 3-spokes and Tommy Kaira bodykit is OP. 334 hp, 327 tq, and FWD is all you need to dominate.
