Seriously, what's wrong with it?! :O

It's funky, looks like handwriting more than just Plain old perfectly shaped boring text, Or flowery, hard to understand French style script. It just looks awesome.

It gives off an immature, childish tone and quite simply, nobody will take you seriously. Also iOS has an inability to display it.

nothing wrong with it whatsoever, in saying that I wouldnt use it to put together a resume' or anything like that.

I use it for all of my work, then again, I work in a school. I wouldn't use it for anything formal because it lacks professionalism. No point using it on this forum because it just looks out of place.

Yeah, I think it's cool for a place such as this, but I wouldn't my application to college in it. What age do you teach shem? I've always been curious.

My kids are between 5 -12. The school also has a kindergarten but I refuse to be a babysitter and stay clear of the toddlers.

I gotcha. Not my first choice of profession, but I imagine since you are in China the children are more well-mannered than back over in the States.

I wouldn't do it in the west to be honest, the youth of today are a nightmare, the kids here are very respectful and, back on topic, they love Comic Sans. :)

The meanest looking teacher I ever had used this font. Biggest surprise ever on the first day of school . He was at least 70, wore a business suit and tie everyday, it did not fit him at all.

It's funky alright...but Comic Sans is rotting garbage-funky, or forgot to wear underarm deodorant today-funky, but not James Brown-funky or even Salvador Dali-funky.

Nothing is James Brown-funky, my friend. 👍

Comic Sans is garbage. It looks nowhere near handwritten, too even and regular, and it's pretty uninspired.

I prefer Lucida, Verdana or Tahoma, myself.

If you want a true "handwritten" font, there are several out there that really mimic handwritten text much better than Comic sans.

Comic Sans is hideous.

I agree with niky though, Lucida, Verdana and Tahoma are very professional. I prefer Verdana from that bunch though.

Or you can make your actual handwriting a font. I forgot the website, but you print out a form and fill it out. Scan it and upload it to the website and it creates a font file that you can put into MS Word.

Comic Sans has a message. It is, "I wanted to be fun, informal, and original, but I'm too lazy to write so I just used Comic Sans."

Is it bad one of the leading reasons I can't wait to have an iPhone is because I can finally see GTP in Helvetica?

Comic Sans is an ugly font, a lazy rip-off. It's right up their with Papyrus as fonts that erase any amount of authority or credibility that the body of text would otherwise convey. Although if it continues to be the easily-identifiable font of trolling, well, it will finally serve a purpose... :D

Because it gives the impression of immaturity and infatile humor, everything you wouldn't want in a forum. It's kind cool if used in the appropriate place, like an instant messaging app or.... ehrm... whatever.

There's nothing wrong at all with Comic Sans if you rock shirts like this...

I nearly fell off my seat there Neal! I don't think it's good for me laughing so much!

I guess you have that post bookmarked as well then...? :sly:

It's set as my homepage.

I'm sure you have asked this before, I did try to search to find it but for some reason all of your posts show up in the results when I search with the key word as "comic"

Go figure...

Gill Sans MT for the win (though it doesn't work so well when bolded and lower case)

Incidentally, I showed my daughter the first post of this thread. She shook her fist at the screen and shouted "Curse you, Comic Sans!". She's ten.

Gill Sans MT is great for print work - I've used it for all my magazine spreads in my gallery (probably because it's what Evo magazine uses).

I personally don't mind comic sans, but, as mentioned trillions of times before, I wouldn't use it on professional things (like a resume.)

Comic Sans Man begs to differ, though:

Hey, that's something you could to, tlowr4. You could forfeit your public identity and hide your face with a mask, and become Comic Sans Man's sidekick!

Now that I mention it, you do look a little like Incrediboy.
