What's wrong with Lamborghinis?

I bought Gallardo and it drives like it has 70% weight and a couple of engines on front, doesn't turn at all. I finished Lamborghini event by simply bouncing from walls in every turn cause it's much more easier than turn this tractor.

Then Murciélago in Gran Tour challenge drives on tarmac exactly like rally car on dirt, no difference.

Is it how real Lambos drive?

I found exactly the same issue. I bought a Gallardo for the Lambo event and it would oversteer like crazy even with a good amount of the driving aids turned on. For an AWD car I was shocked at how it handled.

If it's the Gallardo specific Rome even you are talking about , pay attention , even the computer bounces off the walls trying to get around ! :ouch: They are a handful for sure.

your G OVERSTEERS!?...Christ, mine pushed like like a tank on a frozen lake and under steered terribly until tuning it

My Gallardo Oversteered... ALOT. I know now what trying to drive a soap bar feels like :p. Slipped on almost every turn, and the weight of the car kept pushing itself against the walls. I slapped on soft racing tires and she now drives like a dream 👍

if you watch or read any review about a real lambo everyone talks about the understeer on them, if you put everything on it from the tuning shop and all the aero stuff its decent

Also adjust camber, caster, and spring rates and it will be much improved. Also don't forget to set brake bias up. something like 7F 3R or there abouts.

I don't know, in game I couldn't make it ovesrsteer, it's the most understeering car in game probably.

In real life it's supposed to be one of the best handling supercars, very similar to Audi R8 (nor surprisingly cause it's basically the same car). Sharp turning, very controllable, drifting the turns is no problem for Gallardo

They all seem to like to understeer, which wouldn't be too weird for being AWD, but the game isn't accounting that these cars are 70% rear biased, so through the turns while feathering the throttle should be enough to feel the back trying to slide, not, go plowing forward, wheels cocked sideways into a wall. 👎

It's interesting, because I fitted a controllable centre-diff to my R32, set it to 30 / 70 initially, then down to 15 / 85 and it turned in under braking just like the Murciélago does on the Grand Tour. Similarly, the CTR2 has a nasty habit of lighting up the front inside tyre when the real car wouldn't even be sending torque through the centre diff that way!

So, yeah something's up with them; my Gallardo is a bit of a monster (760 bhp / 1196 kg), but it's more controllable than the Murc is stock. Slicks probably help, though. :p

Also, all MR cars have nasty braking habits anyway. Perhaps something in the engine braking in M4WD cars causes the sliding? Sort of like a combination of the worst parts of both FF and FR lift-off oversteer?

I don't understand. My Murc handles perfectly fine. Haven't bought a Gallardo yet though.

I tend to think of the Murc as a sledge hammer. I don't care if the back steps out. I just go full throttle and steer my way back to the intended path.

I found the Gallardo to be great fun. Best handling car if you like to chuck the car around. It won't set a better time than a 458 while grip driving though, but it has an awesome body kit.

I've had no problems with any of the Lambo's. The Gallardo in my opinion is a dream to drive (Mine was tuned), and the Murc is tail happy but as dothackRAVE said, you just power down when it gets a bit tail happy and the 4wd will do it's work.

I love driving my Gallardo, handles great if anything, can get some epic drifts happening!

I love my lamborghinis, I love they way they handle and sound. I like that the Murcielago is a handful at high speeds.

Don't understand any bad comments about the Gallardo though, mine feels great.

In GT5 MR cars are total disaster, I think PD heard somewhere that MR cars do nothing but spins all around the road all the time, and that exactly what they do in GT5

Not quite as bad as GT2, though! :scared: Now that I think of it, I enjoyed driving my Esprit on the Nürburgring, in the wet even - but that was online.

Perhaps the lack of fuel-load (outside of online races and endurances) kills the weight balance of these cars. It might also explain why the CTR Yellowbird is such a pig, too...

My R32, then, probably just needs a better set-up :p

In the Lambo's you have to be very gentle on the brakes. Also, don't steer while braking as the car tends to spin if you do that. Other than this problem and the understeer, the Lambos are really fun to drive.

I love my SV. It's my favorite road car in the game. Though it won't set lap records it has incredible road grip and can pull drifts with ease (you have to exploit it's braking instability to pull drifts.)

BTW, in the Top Gear review of the Gallardo, it was said the car is so easy to drive even a dog can drive it. Watch it on Youtube, it was a nice episode.

Gallardo and R8 V10 are close cousins - watch and learn...

I remeber seeing a show that had a comparison between a R8 V10 with aids and without, the engineers took a fuse out or something to disable ABS I think. And laptop to plug into the cars ECU to turn off the stability and traction control. The host could not drive the R8 without aids...

the R8 is 4WD too... goes to show most people have no idea how little traction a road car has on street tyres when driven hard!

Yes MR cars, even 4WD ones like to spin a lot

I definitely like this post. Though I've driven a few more nimble super cars so far in GT5, there is something special going on in the Lamborghini when I drive it. It is the first super car I bought in GT Mode, and it even kept up with the JGTC cars in a 1 lap nordschleif race! (2nd place).
I have pure love for this machine. Its artwork on wheels with tight handling, and its still pretty forgiving with all assists turned off !!!!

Gallardo is just fantastic piece of car. Little understeery as it is 4WD but lot of power, great handling and fantastic engine sound! Little nervous on brakes but good drivers know they can't steer and brake at the same time too much. Deal with that horsepower first, probably you don't have enough experience to drive such powerful car with rear biased 4WD.
