Since the last patch a few cars in my garage get very strange PP ratings:

McLaren MP4-12C (1124kg/656kw; maxed out): 711 PP
McLaren F1 '94 (1140kg/495kw): 691 PP
Ferrari 458 Italia (1237kg/540kw; maxed out): 684 PP
Ferrari 430 Scuderia (1119kg/495kw; maxed out): 678 PP
McLaren F1 '94 (970kg/658kw; maxed out): 667 PP
McLaren MP4-12C (1124kg/656kw; maxed out): 636 PP

Lotus Elise 111R RM (720kg/198kw): 626 PP

The maxed out McLaren F1 runs circles around all the others, it should be at ~750 PP. I can enter a 690 PP restricted race in my private lobby with the car just fine. I have another with an oil warning and need for engine and chassis rebuild that gets 744 PP, which seems about right.

Besides the huge difference in PP both the MP4-12C differ only in the type of rear wing and color, they even use the same setup. Km run seems not to be the issue, one has 1800km the other 1500km. All those cars had racing softs equipped before the patch and have still.

The issue is not from wrong displaying in the garage. I have restarted the game several times since the patch, made changes to the cars, drove them, came back etc.

What's wrong here? Does anyone have strange ratings too?

The system is still flawed. I had an Impreza 2007 Hatch have a higher PP rating than a maxed out C4 2008 Rally Car and I still can't figure that out. And both of them were almost trumped by the go-kart.

ya the kart has a very high pp for some reason. I believe mine is around 520 pp or something ridiculous.

Yeah, but this is something new. Before the last patch the ratings were realistic and the same cars had the same PP.

The only guess I can make regarding this is that the power to weight ratio plays an exaggerated role in this process. Too much of a role.

Regardless of the issues that came with 1.07, PP system isn't very reliable in my opinion, because it doesn't take the track into account.

The 620 PP of the Elise will weigh more on Côte d'Azur than on Daytona...

I've also noticed that the PP displayed for each vehicle on the garage menu is different from the info displayed when you select a vehicle. This is consistent for all 325 of my cars. The error is, in some cases, as large as 150PP.

Have you tested which value is used for online races? If it's as large as 150 PP it should be notable and I would expect the online restriction check to work right.

The issue I describe has nothing to do with different displays though, it's the same wherever I look for it. (I'd like to add it's no issue with duping or hacking files or whatever, I don't do such things.)

Any car you drove in 1.06 that has not yet been driven (or tuning menu) will have stale PP values.

Old cars that were used in 1.06 still have PP values that reflect the tires, changing to then, tuning or using them will update them again.

I have two identical Subaru's same mods, I noted the one I drove in 1.06 had a higher PP than the other one I had not driven - checked the tuning menu and it updated.

That's IT! They are updating as I check them.

That helped! Thank you. It's the cars I didn't use that are wrong. Must be the age... :ouch:

Duping has no effect on PP. Hacking? I don't see why anyone would waste the time hacking a game.
