Ok, I guess I'm the only bud smoker, Tool, GT3, and of course Cars. BTW, This is in order of importance.:D ;)

I used to have many addictions, but recently have been forced to reorganize my thoughts and it has been a very difficult transition.

Before college, I was genius material and had no problem finishing a project minutes before any class and easily pull off a perfect score. I was always someone that everyone hated, and was not proud of myself in the social category. I easily walked into college with 16 credits without having to go to highschool most of my senior year. I had all the time in the world then, because nobody wanted to talk to me, besides to make a rude remark.

I used to have all types of hobbies and addictions, and here they are: scaled plastic models, R/C cars, Video games for 6 different systems, PC programming, Soccer, Snowboarding, Skateboarding, Basketball, Tennis, Pole Vaulting, Cars, Trucks, Racing, Mudding, Drifting, Driving, Grafitti, Hacking, Movie Making, Art, Digital Art, and much more....

I hit a point between junior and senior year of highschool where I didn't know if things were the best they could ever be. I tried smoking, began on cigars, but that didn't last more then a few months before I was sick of it. I never drank, because I want to hold out on that. I still seemed to be hitting a brick wall when I was to think of my future.

I started to think of the many ways to end my own life. I had lists upon lists of ways I could go out. It got to the point where I actually attempted a few of them and came close to that one last steo before the end. I had therapy for a while, maybe due to the 16 attempts. I don't really know what is out there for me, but I am working on that day by day.

I moved on from my suicide addiction with a more positive outlook on life. I decided that once I went to college, step one would be to make as many friends as humanly possible. If you were to ask any person in the dorm that I live in, they would probably say that they know me. Many of the people in the building like me, and the friendship continues throughout campus. Just the other day, I talked with my guidance counselor, and they said that there wasn't a way, in their mind, that I could have had no friends in highschool. Well, I guess that speaks for itself.

Now, that I have my friends, I can focus on things that really matter. I now am trying to make up for the loss in GPA, due to the lack of effort in the school department. I am also not able to work on my car or do most of the hobby stuff, so I am ok in that department.

I know just focus on a few addictions: video games, artwork, music, forum talking, and, oh yah, my fraternity, which just rocks! I am a Sigma Phi Epsilon and dam glad.

Well, I apologize if you hear my tale of woe and wonder my well-being, or maybe, your safety. I also apologize for the length of this post.

I learned many things since my debut in GTP. I learned that most of the people on this forum have a deep respect for others here. Though many choose to disregard the feelings they should show, by choosing faces of anger and dispute, they still know what it is they come here for: Information, Help, and maybe, just a little Friendship with people that have similar interests. At least that's why I came here.

I wish you all the best with your dreams and the best of luck with your addictions, whether it be to resolve them or be more involved with them.

These days, it's hot peppers. Habaneros mostly, but the occasional Jalapeno for flavour. It gets so you become really hooked. In fact, you know you're hooked when chilli chocolate starts sounding like a cool idea. I draw the line at Jalapeno pie, mind you.

That and coffee.

And music.

I no longer drink (seven years), smoke (four years) or do drugs (five years). No sex, drugs or... drugs.

The computer. I swear I'd have a 4.0 GPA if these things didn't exist. Otherwise...

music
cars
surfing

All three of them to the point of it being unhealthy. Then more computer.

I am on the computer freaking 27/7!

So, that's my main addiction. Can't think of to many other things I do, it's like all on the computer.

You missed this thread... https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?postid=691499#post691499

Check out the link in there about "Backdraft". I've sampled a few other varieties from Jim and I have to say, the "Ralph's Righteous Habanero Sauce" is perhaps the best hot suace I've ever had. As a further note, I've tried the Hazmat, and it's excellent on a Wendy's spicey chicken burger.

gunbound rules!
im regulate on gunbound, imin gb for a game sometime.

but on topic, my addiction has to be to chocolate chip cookies.

Hey! Thanks for the heads-up... The market for actual hot sauces around here is quite limited. I have the hardest time just finding green Tabasco - I think folks here are into Poutine.

Come to think of it, the market for peppers is fairly wimpy also. One grocer in the area got a batch of Scotch Bonnets about a month ago, and nobody buys them but me. They're beginning to look pretty sad.

I'm probably just going to try growing my own. I stumbled upon a neat website from a chilehead in Melbourne, who breeds (?) and grows his own varieties. He also sells seeds mail-order, and some of his varieties are really tempting. I have no houseplants yet, so what the heck? He's at www.fireworksfoods.com.au

I'll PM you with follow-up if you're interested. Mind you, it'll probably take a couple months at least for any plants to bear fruit indoors here during the winter months...

Cheers,

-A.W.-

Ahhh.... So you're down under from where I am.

BUmmer that you can't pick up any thing From wildpepper
It's some of the best tasting hot sauce I've had.

It really is shocking the first time you finally discover the flavour behind the fire... I think that's - as much as anything - what keeps me coming back for more. It's also what makes most of the easily-available hot sauces turn me off in the long run. No flavour, just vinegar and cornstarch or whatever they use.

Tabasco's okay. Otherwise, I've tried about 15 or 16 from one of the local specialty groceries... Uhhh... Dan-T's, Fear Itself, Cholula and so on. So far, I've yet to be really impressed, and nothing can beat the flavour of the real thing straight up.

So it's good to get a personal endorsement from someone who knows from experience. I've actually just spotted about three or four from wildpepper, and I'm going to give them a mail-order shot soon, while I've got the time waiting for my own crop to mature. A friend also told me about something called "Rectal Rocket Fuel" which he can get for me in a specialty shop. Ever tried it? I will, soon.

Drifting off-topic, but, like I say - I'm addicted.

I never really saw this thread. . . sorry for the late post

Addictions huh. . .
well, I don't really know how to define my addcition, but I have a few theories on some.
I am addicted to driving fast, having a few switch backs with a rear wheel drive car is the best experience of aderilin. Actually I take that back, I am an Aderilin junkie when I think about it. I inline aggresive Skate and at the age of 24 it is starting to show that I can't keep up. My buddies and I go climbing up high towers and well , errr... hills of Florida  and we repel off of them. Jumping from the second stories of houses into pools. Anything to be extreme I guess :D
