I've been around GTPlanet for a little while now see how different tastes are implemented when it comes to driving. For me, at first I was solely about racing, mainly normal cars with upgrades, but then ventured off into the world of drifting. I drift online and offline for at least 4 hours a night (for the past year) and still haven't lost interest. There's something about drifting that just keeps my mind busy, as someone might read a book to keep their mind occupied (every corner is a new page ;) ), and never becomes dull. The tuning aspect of drifting also enhances the experience, I'm not talking about just grabbing a tune and use it but rather create, tweak, and improve the tunes myself.

My question for you all is, whats your choice when it comes to driving? Do you race, drift, drag, or rally? Why?

I race online, I've also developed an irritating habit of testing cars for no reason.

I usually do time trials in just about every car. Yes even stock Kubelwagens :guilty: Sometimes, I just cruise around with the manual H-pattern :D

I've finished most of the events, so apart from that, only online racing is there.

cruuuuuuuuuuuise :) it's relaxing and you can sm0ke a lot.... freerun ftw

edit: drag sometimes^^

online racing @ Nurb, the long straight is good for a quick puff and a gulp of tea if on a multi lap race.

arcade mode setting laps between 35-50 racing the AI, full damage, fuel and tire wear on. this is more fun when driving the f1 2010.... but then some times do LMP or GT racing...
i wish you could choose what cars you want to race against in arcade mode it would be more entertaining then i could use cars i tuned against GT cars instead of racing my tuned cars against a grid full of Veyrons and TVR speed 12s :grumpy: .

Recently, trying to complete the A-spec 24Hr endurance races, I'm 13 hours into Le Mans (finally seeing some light after 7Hrs of pitch black pouring night). I've put around 2 hours every other night.

And when I'm done, I'll go back to the AMG Academy and Redbull X2010 Challenges :)

Racing, more specifically WRS Time Trials and WRS Online events and practices when I'm free. If I'm not doing one of those then I'm not playing.

You should add a poll.

I find the AI incredibly dull, so A-Spec never gets touched now it's been completed ... B-Spec can be alright if i'm in the right frame of mind but I didn't buy a G25 wheel to let Bob hog all the limelight!!

For me it's all about finding a car that I enjoy driving and trying to better myself ... at the moment I can quite contently chase my own 205 T16 ghost around Deep Forest for hours on end! It's even better if there's two of us and we share the wheel, staying on until either of us sets the fastest lap! 👍

OP you are saying you like drifting and in your signature you talk crap about Honda.
Not sure if trolling
or just epic fail.

I tend to do shuffle races, although I suck online.
Also, when I'm bored, I just join a free run on the too gear test track and take my new cars out for a spin.

I drift and do top speed runs.

I teach for GTP Racing School and write reviews for the Car of the Week.

Drifting, also free run... especially at nurburgring :) Usually I get alot more fun out of a free run rather than a real race where everyone is trying to win at any cost, in free run you can still "race", just that you dont have to worry about losing "officialy", kinda hard to explain but meh.. :indiff:

My thing is fake sleep and drive fast at 3AM in da mornin' runnin' from zombies and all at Nordschleife HEHE

Create a lobby at 7:00 PM , slow chatting with a few people until 11:30. Otherwise I"m just fiddling around with the GT5 settings and responding to spam mail.

What happened to the pit stip?

What happened to the pit stop?

Good question. I didn't have the time or skills to great reviews. I just couldn't make the commitment. :guilty:

I added a poll for everyone to vote. Feel free!

Don't want to make a whole thing out of this but what does Honda have to do with drifting? I'm not trolling, I legitimately want to know what people do to keep GT5 going. This also gives new players a view on what else they can do in the game and let them know there are other options besides strictly racing.

BTW, I changed my sig for people who were offended.

it used to be racing/ free run, but lately, i got bit by the drifting bug and have been doing that lately. i usually run "The DRFT Lounge" so if you guys see it, come on in and slide around.

Honda's in gt5 are used for jdm drag racing

I pretty much only race in arcade mode. I'll set up a close race and hit the track for an hour with settings as close to real as possible. That's my nightly fix.

My nighttime GT5 activity consists of joining a lounge and gathering up all my buddies. Good times playing cat and mouse and just chatting about life!

Why not hotlap? :sly:

I cruise and do a spot of racing (all disciplines).
