Hi dudes, i just wanna here from some of u what's ur thoughts about the ring. Personally i hate it more than anything else in the game :D Dunno why but i really just dont like it :D Rather doing the dishes than driving on it :D

Back when the ring started showing up in video games I hated it.

Then I took the time to learn it and it has been my favorite track that I demand in every good racing game from now on.

2 laps of roulette racing online with boost set high. That is a very close and great race to drive :dopey:.

When i got used to the track it became one of my favorite tracks in gt 6

Online lounge, a couple of good friends, Nürburgring 24h circuit with night/day transition: orgasm-inducing. :D

Absolutely love it. Wish they would include it in a couple of seasonals. Still trying to get my Copen active top around it in 8 minutes flat or less

You might check out the thread in this section titled
"Favorite free run track(poll)" currently Nürburgring has 42.59% of the votes :)

When I think of all the tracks that I've driven,in GT4 and GT5,I know that I have more laps under my belt at Nurburgring than any other track out there. That's somewhere between 1700-2000 laps.
I have no intention of ever playing this game in b-spec mode so every lap is hands on and well earned. I'm sure that other far shorter tracks are quite close to that number (Tsukuba,G.V.,HSR,...etc)
The fact that the longest course,by a long shot,is my most driven should speak volumes to the attraction that I have for that place!...I'm prepping to do another 4hr Ring race in an hour or so to add another 27-29 laps to that total!

best track ever! no other track needs so much concentration and is so much fun at the same time.

give it another try and get used to the track. watch some videos on youtube to learn it. then you´ll need nothing else than a nice car and the ring to have an awesome time.

cheers

When I started GT5/(4) i really hated it. I thought it was too long and confusing. But dunno how it happend lol, but after having golded the AMG-special-event and managed to do the GT-R record trophy, I absolutely love this track!

Just feel like adding an image :-)

I remember when my friend got GT4, when it first came out. He invited me over, knowing I was an avid fan of the series. I remember picking the Yellowbird in arcade mode and taking it to Nürburgring Nordschliefe. Been a fan since! Everything about it is so epic. The history, the sights, the photo opportunities, and most of all, the pure pleasure of hitting every apex perfectly in all kinds of cars. From the mm-R Cup Car, to the 458, to the 88C-V. It's just so unbelievably fun.

Amen. I can do nothing but agree with all you said.

Get a Nissan Skyline R34 GT-R, buy sports soft tyres and take it to the 'Ring, thats how i got addicted to it on GT4 and have been ever since :p

Totally unique.
Nothing else is quite like it.

A steep learning curve is to be encountered initially, and may be extended with each car. Sometimes with each setup.

But, its definitely worth it.

There is nothing comparable to an enduro at the Nurb.

Love it.

It's the track that likes to show me how rubbish I am whilst laughing at me hideously sliding into a barrier and then degrades me by showing me my laptime.

Despite this once I learn it to a brilliant degree I'm sure it will be rewarding 👍

It already is when you do a clean lap, let alone fast one!

Same thing with me.

Haha :D Sounds like im the only hater of it :D My favorite tracks are Suzuka and Circuit de la Sarthe (with chicanes ofc). I dont know why but i just fell that the road is so god damn tiny and so :D Really cant describe my hate to that track :D I've been playing Gran Turismo since GT1. And when the ring first showed up (think it was in gt3 or 4) i actually liked it very much in the start but by the time i've just hated it more and more :/

It's great, I can easily spend an entire night racing that same track. Definitely more fun the better you learn the track. I wish PD would design some new tracks like it (not the kind of stuff the track designer creates.)

If i shut my eyes, i can do a lap of it in my mind.. And in gt4 i did a 5:10.xxx lap in the sauber c9.. I love the ring!

Love it since I know every single turn! Before that it was just far too long and no fun, becaue I couldn't do a single clean lap...

Absolutely love the ring. Its the first place i take a new car or a new set up to try it out. No other track has the character of the ring. With all of its bumps and elevation changes its a very rewarding track to drive well on. Its also probably my best track.

I love it and hate it equally. I'm such a bad driver anyway buts a good challenge. I'm just super happy when I hit the carousal just right and have a clean lap.

Love it. I used to hate it too. I think you hate it when you don't know it. It only takes a few laps to get used to a track, but the Ring takes alot of practice to anticipate whats coming next.

I didn't start to like it until I started playing GT4 again after waiting for GT5 for so long. I really learned it well on the Special Events on GT5. If you spend some time on it, I think it will grow on you.👍
