What's your thoughts about the nurburgring?

You have to learn it... I've been driving round it since GT3 (or whatever game introduced it) and I still only know 80% of it well enough to race flat out.

The only section I know I'm going my fastest is the beginning section up until the weaving downhill bit after the hairpin.
 
Its the only track I race online, thats how much I love it. I wasn't too fond of it though until I learned the track. After a while you'll memorize every turn and even what gear to be in. Nurburgring 24H is my favorite version of the track, its just so epic. :drool:
 
I agree with so many comments here, I refused to play the ring in GT4, just hated it, but when GT5 holds your hand in the special events, you soon learn every wrinkle. After capering, the ring is my favourite now. When you learn it properly, it rewards you immensely.
 
It is fantastic. To compare Nordschleife to an ordinary racing track is like comparing a rollercoaster to a carousel.
 
I think the track is a bit overhyped. I like the Le Mans track more because for me, it has a more legendary status. But I do love the nurburgring now more than in GT4, I was rubbish in racing back then. Now I have improved.
I think the ring is very difficult to handle, especially with a fast car. I remember I had a hard time in the Dreamcar Championship to keep up with the Jaguar XJR9, although I had the faster Toyota Minolta. With slow cars, this track is enjoyable however. But just as I said, I like circuit de la Sarthe more:dopey:
 
I used to hate it with a passion, it always seemed to get the best of me no matter what I tried. Then I acquired a DFGT (the day of the great PSN outage), so with not much better to do, I decided the best way to learn both the wheel and the ring was to go back to the low powered cars and slowly work my way up to quick cars.

Now the 'ring and I understand each other. :)
 
Nurburgring is the track that most blatantly shows how well you learned it - but once you master its challenges, it might become your favorite. Definitely became my most favorite track after some hours of trial and error.
 
this is the best track in GT4/5 as others have said, its the only track that i race on in online mode and when you have a room full of clean drivers its a dream to race! i love this track with any configuration!
 
Favorite, no doubt. I test all my cars on it. (Nordschleife)
 
I didnt really notice it that much in GT4. I remember having to do my dad's license test in GT4 with the merc evo, and i suppose i started liking it then. I cant go a day without doing at least 10 laps on it now. Just me, my G27, my M3 GTR and the ring :)

I constantly try beat my best times in the practice mode and its a dream to drive on in any car. M3 GTR, Merc SLS and Nissan GTR V-Spec are my preferred cars to go around in. Still trying to get gold on the last challenge on the ring in the dry though, about 3 seconds off the time.

To me its by far the best track in the game. Every new car i get is put to the test on the ring straight away :)
 
Great track, still got my GT4 racing station best lap 4:50,225 C9 Merc. Working on my best lap GT5 down to 5:17 but room for inprovement, love it.
