Jesus Christ. More than half have had problems. But it's much more than that because some people have had hardware failures from different sets of wheels\pedals.

One dude gone through FIVE T300s???

Look at the date the thread was started though, I think they’ve gotten better with time because you don’t see many people talking about T300 failures anymore. :)

I put a lot of hours on my t300.
No troubles.
Good thing about it is for gt sport you know you are getting what you are supposed to ffb wise and also belt drive so no noise from gears or slip.
You know it’s optimized for the game.
Mine worked excellent and still was when I got rid of it. Ffb was great.
The only mistake I made was not getting the good pedals.

Hey all, finally placed an order for my T300 Alcantara! It should arrive in about a week according to Amazon. I haven't worked on the rig yet but I will start hunting for seats tomorrow. @Pigems Thanks for the plans, I'll see what I can do. Thanks @kilesa4568, @super_gt and everyone else who replied!

Congrats man!! If you have any questions along the way in your build, feel free to message me any time man, I’ll help out as much as I can.

Sure man, I'll DM you.

Wear gloves to avoid excessive wear on the alcantara rim especially for longer sessions - it's a great rim, enjoy.
Oh, And put the wheel base into forced cooling mode.
Yep, I’m already looking at gloves.

Find one thats round?
What do you mean?

Thanks for all the replies everyone! I'll try to get a T300GT around Black Friday.
The T300 wheel is very smooth and very quiet. I have had mine for at least 3 years with no issues at all. Hope you like it as much as I do. Force feedback was too strong on default settings in GT Sport. Turned it down in the game settings. Arthritis in the wrists could not take it on default.

I have gone through 4 F1 add-on wheel & this is my second base.
If you not in a rush get the fanatec basic if I could I would exchange mine for 1.

The t300 does feel good don't get me wrong.
If you do go for 1 don't get the F1 add-on.

What torque setting do you run your wheel on?

I playing with 5/6 ,
I don't want it to high incase the t300 get warm & does it's motor saving.

Ah ok, I thought you may be using a higher value. Do you keep it in forced cooling mode?(fan on at all times)

A day or so after I got mine, I had to turn the FFB down to its lowest setting. The default setting was both overexageratting the "feel" of the tracks & causing the fan to go into high cooling mode (or, is it simply turning on?). Either way, I am glad I bought a wheel.

Good question. Everyone I know and read about that has had wheel failures are the ones who run the feedback on high settings.

I always wondered about that. I run mine on FFT 3/4 with the fan on at all times and have not had an issue so far.

Sorry just saw your reply no I not the fan is on default.
But 1 think I drive cockpit view & I noticed that when I change my view settings my wheel settings seems different.
Maybe I need to get used to the full seat back view but I, my settings are now.

For my sls for example.

8 10 (still playing with the 10)

But my view is 0 5

Do you find different cars have different feel. I like a heavy road wheel.

Update.
Just did the circuit experience using the Alfa @ Maggiore track.
Cockpit view

1 5

Torq 6
Sens 5

I did a time 2 .216 my best time lol so I going to try that settings with my manufacturers car the Merc.
See if u get a better drive, I can say 1 thing no 1 settings is best for everyone.
I think when you say what settings you use you have to say if u are using assist & what view you use.

I use
Corner marker.
Abs. (Default)

I only use abs as default since everyone else is but I am try to drive with out.. I want to be able to have the same lap times or better with out assist.
