G27 vs. Carrera vs. GT3rs (v2)
:scared:
At first, I was all about the G27. Has everything I wanted, and then I saw the Carrera wheel, and for only $159, plus shipping. I love the look of the shifter, and the click. From my research, I have found that most prefer the fanatec over the logitech, easier to find the gears, and don't miss shifts. But I am unsure about the pedals. Which brings me to the GT3 rs v2 with the clubsports. Everything I have read about the wheel and pedals is phenomenal. Feels like a real wheel, ff is great, and the pedals are top notch. But I don't see the gt3rs Clubsport package anymore on fanatec as of December. And I also hear Shipping for fanatecs are 1 month, and that's just for the Netherlands! I live in USA though....... Please voice opinions and Help!

I voted for the GT3 RS based on what I've read from other's reviews on the web.
I have no personal experience though.

I have the Carrera wheel, however I voted GT3RS + ClubSports as it is better, and you can upgrade, that is one thing Logitech don't do.

Fanatec are coming out with a ClubSport shifter (CSS) and ClubSport handbrake (CSH). So when you want, you can upgrade. The G25 shifter doesn't work with the G27 so I dont think Logitech really want to upgrade.

I live in Tulsa so basically the same town. I have ordered the Club Sport Pedals on Friday of last week and they are delivering today. I also preordered the GT2 wheel it shipped yesterday and will be here on Monday. So in both cases my shipments are taking less than one week. Fanatec has a warehouse in California so US customers don't have long wait times one week or less. The real question is wether your product is in stock. The Club Sport pedals are definitely in stock. Now the GT3 wheel I think is out of stick till the end of the month. I would suggest the GT3 with ClubSports if your PS3 only.

i was where you are about 2 months ago. I ended up getting a G27. My thoughts.

One of the main reasons I got a G27 was because they mount perfectly to a playseat, which I have. The G27 feels great. But I have only used the xbox wireless wheel. Another reason I got the G27 was because of price. I picked it up from Logitech for $209.99 plus tax. This was right before the price hike.

Now, since then they are hard to find. Or else you pay retail. If you are on a budget, I would get a carrera wheel.

If you have some cash to spend, Go with the fanatec GT3 RSv2, with the clubsports. One day......one day I will have this setup.

Don't get me wrong, I love the G27. Feels really good. Makes GT5 very awesome. It was too hard to pass up that deal. But since they are back up to full price, I would say go for the fanatec. Unless you can find a G27 used. maybe I should sell mine..............................💡

While the fanatec might be cool and all that, I suspect that the G27 will support more games, and as far as I know the pedals are better.
Logitech it is.

Yeah I read your dilemma awhile back....Look at my intro question, its cut and paste identical to yours. :sly:

I think your completely wrong on this. While the G25/27 pedals are better (from what I hear) than the standard Fanatec Pedals, the G25/27 ate no where near as nice as the ClubSports which are in a different universe.

Now as far as the wheel the GT2 is fully supported by everything. My horn button even works which isn't the case with the G25/27. I think the Gt2 and GT3(assuming since they're the same on ps3) are more compatible with PS3 games like GT5.

Actually, Fanatec supports more games as it works on 360 and is programmable and it has legit PS3 button layout for compatibility.
