There is something wrong with the wheels for this game. I am using a T-150 and my car is not responding to steering input well. Other cars are taking turns much quicker with same lines. I don't know what the issue is but I picked up the controller and the game feels really suited to controller use. I wouldn't be surprised if I did better with the controller. This is getting on my nerves where every race my car is understeering like crazy, any car doesn't matter. There is also something up with the brake pedals, I have to really mash the pedal down to slow down enough and this makes me lost a lot of time because I can't modulate the brake pressure well enough. Part of this is that my standard pedals are low grade, but part of it is due to the game settings. I was considering trying AC to see if it's just my wheel settings but I don't wanna go on that retarded game that exaggerates oversteer and matches you with professional real life drivers.

Also in GT Sport I am being matched up with much faster players with higher ranks and this is annoying me. The only thing right now preventing me from being faster is a better pedal set but mostly due to this understeer issue. If anyone is having similar issues please share them.

What settings is your wheel set at?

Personally brakes feel fine to me but I’m on a G29 so dunno how different a t150 pedal set feels... do you have abs on or off?

Almost certainly you are over driving the car - if you're getting understeer in any car, you're trying to carry too much entry speed., which in turn will make it harder for you to get a fast exit and you lap times will be slow.

Go back to basics - focus on controlling your entry speed so you are not sliding the front of the car at all mid corner.

T150 user here with the stock pedals.
Steering is fine, car does as it's told.
Brake pedal lacks "feel" but after some use i have learned/trained/muscle-memoried the amount of travel it likes and am 'ok' on the brakes. I need to run ABS weak... just have not been able to learn the fine line between hard on the brake vs locked up.
Throttle... until PD gets the throttle mapped differently (linear please) all I can say is the throttle is a result of the games programming, and I don't enjoy it. I very much enjoy the game, but, throttle needs patched... please. My opinions.

I've been a T150 user for a few months now. It's the only wheel I've ever used. I cannot relate to your issues unfortunately.

How old is the wheel? Does this happen on other games? Give the PC 2 demo a try

It could be your driving style. Upload a video of you doing a few laps, and we may be able to diagnose your issue.

Do you use the wheel on your PC as well? Check the control panel to make sure it's still set at 900 degrees.

Also hold mode button and tringle+square for roughly 20 seconds and release triangle+square and it resets the wheel (and centers where you had your wheel rotated at), this is useful for when your wheel is off centered and needs to be re-centered.

PS- if you do get AC, get it on PC for the mods.

It's funny that you say that AC exaggerates oversteer when someone else posted today that all the race cars understeer...lol. Anyway, the pc version of AC has various tools for dialing in your pedals, shifter etc., not sure what the console version has though. With those adjustment options you can pretty much make the pedals do whatever you want them to do.

If you really want some help try posting a video and I'm guessing that'll sort out the problem.

I don't know what the degrees of rotation are because the wheel doesn't display them. I change the mode to what I feel is best. ABS is on. TC is around 2 or 3.
Your reasons for not trying Asetto Corsa are childish. Grow up.

There’s also a demo available for Project Cars 2 and the Formula 3.5 race in it is splendid, try turning assists off.

I have both games, just don't play them. Wheel feels good on AC but spinning out occurs too easily.

I drive pretty carefully, but had trouble on that one track. Nevertheless had unexplainable understeer at certain moments even at slow speeds.

Not old, several months. It works fine with other games. I have uploaded a video on my channel of me doing a normal race where everything went pretty well on one track. Last nights track which was Maggiore GP 2 gave me lots of trouble, however.

Don't have PC, I have AC on console. :)

Will do what you suggested.

Lol, I think cars do oversteer in tight corners. Players on AC tune well so they might eliminate these problems but I don't know how to tune certain cars.

Did you try another wheel? It sounds more like you aren’t used to the wheel? I have no problems with understeer with TM wheel. Maybe you are pressing the throttle to early in the corner? That could explain the understeer.

I mean the in-game wheel settings;

Controller steering sensitivity
FFB Torque
FFB Sensitivity

For example mine are;
Controller steering sensitivity: 7
FFB Torque: 4
FFB Sensitivity: 6

Mine are 6, 4,4 I believe.

Could have been that track tbh, haven't played in awhile will be able to tomorrow. I think my seating position is contributing. I sit straight up and am pretty high so I have to reach a bit low for the wheel. So I'm kind of considering getting some sort of rig with a wheel stand attached to it.

Try 7,4,4

It happened to me once between races, that the wheel didnt connect well. Just pull the power plug out and in. And it worked well again. Have a G29 though.
