I knew it was coming my GT2 wheel has been acting flaky lately, but today it finally passed on. I have had many, many hours of service out of it I got my moneys worth and don't regret buying it.

So now what to do. I'm sure my next wheel will be a T500 RS c/w TH8-RS but I want the wheel compatibility waters to be clearer before I jump. The dream of a 3 system wheel is now dead so XB1 compatibility is no longer a issue. So in the mean time I have to live with my old equipment.

I have a working G25 wheel & pedals they are fine but it would be nice if I could use my Club-sport V1 pedals with GT6 (and future PS4 releases). Is this possible? I know I can use the USB option with my PC, but swapping them out of my rig requires 20min and a wrench, hardly convenient when I swap from AC to GT6 (my current pastimes).

When I do get a T500 will I be able to use my Club-sports with the PS3/4?

Not until someone makes an adapter, which I have seen rumors about...

I have a GT2 I might be interested in selling. A friend of mine wants it but is sitting on the fence. It doesn't have many hours on it at all. I had a G27, had a Fanatec Elite, have 2 T500's, one with a Sam Maxwell Momo Mod 26C wheel on it. PM me if interested in the GT2, I'll check with my buddy if he wants it. To tell you the truth, if you can afford it get a new T500, I remember when I got mine, wow what a difference.

I had a similar choice, although my GT2 /CSPv1 combo still works perfectly. I decided to box up my Xbox360 and Fanatec gear, bought the T500RS. After the frustrating damping and slight steering shaft play (verified "works as designed") of my GT2, the smooth, sturdy and powerful feedback of the T500RS is a breath of fresh air. I do miss the Fanatec CSP brake somewhat, but I didn't have much trouble switching over to the Thrustmaster pedals.

While in PC sims the differences are just smoothness and power, in GT5/6 feedback with a T500RS really is better than what I experience on the GT2. Seems like PD has programmed far more nuances into the feedback of the Thrustmaster than they have with the Logitech wheels which Fanatec piggybacks.

It kinda shows how PD has changed these last few years. There seems to be less priority in quality and more on DLC. Just a couple years ago Kaz talked about how he was against DLC. Now with GT6 they announced their DLC plans before the game even released. The wheel support is another along those lines. If Sony and PD aren't getting a cut of your wheel purchase then it wont work properly. All reasons why my console racing days are over.

I'm sure Kaz is still against DLC, but SONY sure isn't and they write the checks. My feeling is that GT6 is just out there to get a little more $$ out of the GT5 engine and development cost, and that most of the PD attention is probably going towards their next gen efforts. Still, I hope they refresh the formula a bit this round.
