There all using standard physics i'm using professional, there all abit too loose on professional.

Just seems that no matter what i use everythings always pulling away

There are professional tunes in here:

https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=111186

which may be the same link as above, not sure. I posted a tune a few days ago that I used to gold s-7 and maybe S-10 on pro fizzix, that one will be at or near the tail end of the thread.
And, it's ok to not gold everything or even beat everything at once.

edit: I see that is the same link :/

Ahh i must of not seen yours, thanks i'll have a look and keep at it :)

got the DFGT today and its so much smoother so hopefully it wont be too long

edit, FFS my best laps are like 1'43s i dont know how to make more pace :/

I could actually hit something i'm that frustrated i just can't drive it quickly :(

ok slight update, putting in consistend 1'40s on the R3 tires for the last A Event race, still wont be good enough for the S7 :(

Agreed :D

if i can only put 1.40's in, where can i take time off the laps from :(

On your set up Clacks what kinda laptimes are you putting in so i know a ballpark figure of what to be aiming at

I don't remember, sorry. :(

It's ok, i checked the time trial rankings at the best laps are 1'42s on S2 Tires, So on the R1's im guessing 1'38/9s are about ideal

I checked post # 111 (my tune) and it says "sloppy mid-1'38s" in the blurb

:S

Argh sorry, didn't see it at all, was just in a hurry to race sorry for the ignorance!

ok, if 'sloppy' 1'38s are do able, i better get practicing

No problem. For the record, it's very rare that anyone goes as fast on my tunes as I do. Especially without adjustments. It is my tune after all, may not work easily for everyone. Typically, a wheel user will benefit from a change of 'my' turn angle to something in the 38-42 range. And adjust brakes to preference.

Alrite thank you, i think most of my laptimes lost time is from the bottom of the hill turn then the climb up the Esses, i don't seem to make any ground there, and on the straights i just seem to lack power, but i'll keep going and try to improve, thanks for the advice

Shift that Corvette before redline, it's a torque monster. And use whatever gear it takes to not shift during the esses.

👍

Alrite thanks for the tips, managing consistent 1,38's but low ones on the R3 tires on the Last A class race for practice, when i can keep hitting the 1'39's il give the race a bash

Update:

:D Got Bronze this morning after a bit of effort, laptimes are still about 1'40's but the time can come off in the 1st and 2nd sectors now

Update, Now Silver just 2seconds behind the S2000, with a bit better middle sector i think it's do-able, thanks alot for the help, it's all going towards making me a better driver and it's all appreceated.

Wondering if me learning to drive quick lines and rectify my mistakes using standard physics would be better than me just trying to drive perfect in professional physics right away, or should i just stick to professional

should i just stick to professional

Yes. I personally feel progressively dumber with every kilometer driven in Standard.

Anything in Professional physics might be hard now, but you'll look back on your current difficulties in the near future and think, "Wow, I've come a long way.".

yea, i think i will do it that way.

what is the actual main differences in standard and professional is there a list anywhere

it's just so frustrating, i can't get any power down really out of corners in the vetter as im at half throttle till the back straight else it oversteers like hell, instead of gaining time on the leaders im loosing time every lap

Don't be afraid of using TCS on a powerful RWD car. I've used up to 7 in a race.

Ahh thanks for the tip :) i'll have a play, it just seems with the less power out of the corners because i'm not on the throttle im loosing time

Also, it's supposed to be difficult. :sly:

👍 Keep plugging away.

just difficult to see a light at the end of the tunnel, i can't see how i'm getting better, but the only way i can improve is by keep playing i suppose

Keep replays of your ghost in free run and of the race. Buy watching the your race you can see what lines you take so you can improve. Then you can fallow your ghost in free to see if those improvements worked or not.
You'll get faster we all get faster.
