Hi there, I just bought a DFGT, and well, I don't really have anywhere to put it (other then the table, but that wobbles) and I don't have enough for a racing cockpit as well as a good wheel stand.
Anybody know any good setups or stands that i could possibly make out of stuff you buy at a home improvement store or something like that?

here's a whole thread

my first one was an ironing board

and my current one was some old second-hand printer desk from an old unused office at work

I think your cheapest solution would be a tablemate

But start saving and you'll have the money for a wheelstand in no time.. It's a far better option than all these workarounds..

I think like this;
Cost of Wheel: 100€
Cost of Wheelstand: 79€
Cost of game: 69€

Total approx: 250€

I played FM3 for about 1,5 years every day. That's 547 days.

250 / 547 = 0.45€ per day..

I know i havent calculated power costs and buying an Xbox360; but that's for whiners... ;)

Lol. The tablemate would be a great idea. But, I found a table for about 60 USD, and it its pretty sturdy. the main problem is when I use the X1, the Force feedback sounds like its gonna blow up or destroy the wheel even when the FFB is on 2. I'll get a better stand later. but for now, this is perfect. : D

I found one on youtube that this guy completely hand made to look like a replica '60's race car and looked like he dropped in one of those racing seats like a Kirkey one or something like that and an old steering wheel like one of the huge ones made out of wood from something from the 60s, I don't have a link but it's under iRacing

But I use a cheap computer stand from fredmeyer and took out the rolling keyboard slider thing
