Alrite. Some quick questions. When lowering a car for drifting does it need to be lowered all the way?
And for the cases like the RX7 FC and RX8 when lowered too much the wheel is seen jutting out of the wheel well during turns and countersteering. Should I increase springrate? Strengthen shocks?
Final question. Do most of you have high or low spring rates (shocks, etc.) on your drift machines?

i'm most concerned bout the wheelwell question. makes videos look bad...

thanks a lot

no, for most cars it does not have to be lowered ALL the way, you can keep it @ moderate hights, lowering it all the way does not enable you to drift better nor does it help very much, you should check teh drift settings depot for a specific car spring rate

thnx but the depot only has the rate's coupled to THEIR ride height. i'm jus looking for suggestions bout if i should raise the height or increase the stiffness.

well usually if u keep the high 20 or 30 lower from stock ride hight, u should b just fine, ride stiffness should b up to you, try it both ways and see which you like and stick with it

Actually I would also like to know if there is a benefit of having softer suspension if there is any benefit, is it good to have soft suspension or is it counter productive

Soft.. hm...I only do it to make it look cool in the videos with the weight shifting, and to help me shift my weight on my stock cars..hope that helps

lower my car all the way and and changed my camber and toe angle and it gave me a choku dori style

ohh. I use a .5 to a 1.0 rear camber on all my cars and 0 toe. Max HP is usually around 350 except my 86 (273 after 300 miles T.T). 8-10 on springrate and lowered all the way (unless i see that damned tire pop through the body).
