Hi everyone,

Looking into purchasing a DFGT, but I am worried about where I can mount it. Havn't got the space to store a stand for it, so would have to use it sitting on the sofa. Does anyone else do this?

Not sure if that is a big enough reason to not get one..

Ages ago I bought a Microsoft wheel and thought I'd get by using it on my lap but it lasted about a day before I went back to a controller.

A lot of people on a tight budget use a little table from ikea which is meant to work well, maybe someone else knows what it's called ...

If you can store the wheel, you'll be able to store a table too, unless your harry potter and live under the stairs!

If you have a workbench that folds up, for using a table saw on it usually works really well.

I've also seen people using ironing boards.

My temporary solution in my geek out room before ordering a wheel stand. Called my girlfriend into the room to take a photo after she'd stopped laughing! I emptied a filing cabinet and popped the pedals inside, it worked although the wheel was a little too far away!

Yeah. Ikea do several tables and laptop stands very cheap.

I've ordered a Wheelstand Pro but until it arrives I'm stuck with a camping table. It's so light and rickety I cannot take hairpins.

Do not think you can use a DFGT on your lap. It needs to be secure.

I tried playing with the DFGT on cushion on my lap and it's not fun. you get really tired because you are trying to hold it down.
