Wheels for my Trans Am

Ive found a deal on some nice 17x9.5 camaro ss wheels and debating whether to pull the trigger, what do you guys think? Oh and if someone could do a photo shop that'd be great.

Are they staggered? I think they might look good, if you were lowered a bit with some meaty tires and a stagger!

I thought the same, but Google results for "1998 Camaro SS" has several with those wheels.

Apparently GM used them on the C4 ZR1/Grand Sport and the later Camaro SSs from the factory.

Only set I saw on an SS of that gen were replicas, but then the rears were 10-11" wide (325s sitting square) so they'd kinda have to be.

Thanks for the Photo shop Yes they are zr1 replicas that came on the 4th gen camaro ss. i wanted staggered but im not clearing 11 inch wide wheels! So they are 17x9.5 the whole way around. Once i can get the old ones gone ill have them!

You dont have to run crazy stagger, maybe 18x10 in the rear. I dont think it would look good IRL with a non stagger. I Run 18x9s all around , and it still looks a little silly to me.

No need for wheel stagger. Hell, there really isn't room on a 3rd gen.

I do like the way they look on that. I think some cheap torque thrust II knock offs would be better if you can find them used. That way you don't have to buy an expensive pair from American Racing.

Im going to stay with 17's anything bigger looks dumb unless the car is lowered at least 2 inches. I dont mind the look of the non staggered wheels and having the same width up front helps handling. IF i did staggered I'd go for the widest wheel that i could squeeze in there and go to 11 inches wide in the back. @Slashfan: I like the look of torque thrust II's but im looking to go more sporty and less drag/old muscle. that trans am sure looks nice though

Got a set of them on my Camaro, definitely great looking as 11's
