:confused: when the wheels change colour form blue-red what does it mean???? Does it mean that the tires r getting hot of they r loosig their grip on the road??????? :confused:

They are wearing out. It doesn't really indicate temperature (though tire temperature IS modelled - it usually takes a lap for harder tires to warm up and get grippy).

What it shows is how close to dead your tires are. You'll notice that traction increases a little as they move to light blue, then steadily decreases until they hit red. Red tires are pretty greasy to drive on.
 
when a real race car pits and gets new TIRES they have a film or coating that must be worn off... the blue represents new tires or COLD,, as they heat up they turn green and optimal traction is obtained,.... eventually you will wear out all tread and thats red...
DO you own a bicycle?? go to a bike shop and look at new tires.. you will see the film or coating im talking about.
