Are all the wheels that can be bought in gt auto the same performance wise? Are the differences between wheels just cosmetic or not?

There is no performance difference between different wheels, its just cosmetic,

Actually the BBS LMR rims change your gear ratios slightly. I'm not sure in any others have performance change though.

This is the only true statement posted.
We had a huge debate and a few temp bans in the drag racing forum over this same suject.
Nobody could hit shellsncheese time. He gave the tune, nobody could get the ratios. So he said what rim he used and wala we could match his ratios.
Sadly the argument didnt go well and he didnt have the top times for long after reveiling his secret. And he got no appreciation for it either, poor guy was called a cheater a hacker etc... When he did nothing wrong.

A few hundredths of a second. In a 1/4 it can give you that bumper lead.

The rims were BBS-LMR's. We never really tested other rims... To many car rim combos...

From what I have experienced, all rims bought in GT Auto will change the gear ratios in most cars. It is not just limited to the BBS-LMR's. I am not going out on a limb and say all rims affect all cars, but the many car/rim combinations that I have used, they all have affected the gear ratios of the car.

Different ones can affect the transmission different ways though.

Only reason I can think of to why it does this is because of how different rim/tire sizes affect a real life car's speedometer.
