I believe this is my first post here on gtplanet.
I recently bought a Fanatec wheelstand for my G27. A disadvantage of the wheelstand, I think, is that the angle of the pedals can't be set. I have therefore made an adjustment to the stand. I is very steady and the stand remains foldable.

Requirements:
2 x Ikea EKBY RISET

Wood scraps

This are the results for now:

Sorry for the crappy pictures.

I initially wanted to secure the pedals with velcro tape but it seems stable enough.
Next step is a mount for shifter.

Let me know what you think!

That looks quite professional well done.

Now for the beer holder. 8^)

Good job there Pierre. How study is it under hard braking? does it have any movement to it? I might make something like this myself, but I have the Perfect Pedal which requires a lot a force to press. Do you think this mod you've done will be up to the job?

It is surprisingly study. There is no movement in the brackets, absolutely nothing. I believe i will be able to stand on it. You will certainly not get The EKBY RISET down. They are shelf supports so the're suppost to be very strong.
To prevent shifting (when braking with force) I still have think of something. I think velcro tape will do the job.

It's extremely simple and took me about 15 minutes to make. And the brackets are cheap.

You could also hardmount the pedal set. There are holes on the bottom of the pedals that are threaded for bolts. That would be the best way to secure them.

Yes, but I like to release the pedals from the brackets quickly. That's why i came up with velcro tape.
Removing the pedals from the brackets keeps the wheelstand well foldable. With the pedals on the brackets, the stand wont fold very good. That is why i used the brackets. Now, the vertical pole lands nicely between the two brackets.

After this mod, I also want to think of a better way to mount the shifter. On the normal adapter, I think the shifter is too high.

So, to be continued...
Maybe someone already made an alternative way to mount the shifter on a wheelstand, or any suggestions?

Greeting from The Netherlands!

If you wanted to be able to take them off semi quickly you could just put some threaded rod like I said and then put a wing nut or a black handle (like in my rig for holding the two pieces together) on the bottom shouldn't take you more than 15 seconds if it's just a couple of bolts. Better than velcro in my opinion, it will just get loose over time.

You should be ablet to find this at a hardware store. Just put a couple of these on the bottom threaded up into the bottom of your pedal. Not my pic.

My threaded rod pushed into a handle.

EDIT: I just noticed you have one of these on your rig behind your pedals.

I like your idea. I'd also like to see what you can come up with the shifter.

I purchased the RennSport Shifter adapter to have a more stable shifter. Perhaps there's a way to connect the Rennsport adapter to the shifter adapter that connects to the stand differently? Something that would angle it lower but still be sturdy?

I'm interested to see what you come up with.
