Got my Wheelstand Pro.

Ordered Friday, Received Today.

Fantastic product, really smart, dead easy to setup & adjust.

Can't fault it at all.

How in the world you got it so fast. I ordered last week on Tuesday and then they shipped on Friday and still have not received it. When i checked USPS it states that the item has just cleared the US Customs. Wondered why it took so long :nervous:

The Wheelstand Pro comes out of Poland, that's why it didn't take as long to reach the United Kingdom ;)

Ok my DFGT arrived the other day, loving it! 👍

GT4 seems easier with the wheel

GT5P well lets just say it will take a bit of getting used to!!

As for the wheelstand/fanatec ive not ordered it yet, added funds to paypal but seems to be on the go slow 👎

For now im using an ironing board!! Yeah its not cool, but it has blue camo cover!!!

Ok ordered the Fanatec wheelstand on Tuesday, said 2-3 working days delivery, so im hoping for Friday!!!

Just wanted to say I bought the Wheelstand Pro. Got it from the US distributor, received it 2 days later on standard shipping.

My Thoughts: Expensive.... but very high quality. Very solid and rigid. Very adjustable, this is the reason I got this over the fanatec one. I can literally set it up any why I want and feel comfortable. The wheel tilt was the clincher for me. The Fanatac doesnt have that and I can see it being needed.

I have a racing seat and whats the beginning of a cockpit, but I got this so I can setup quickly in front of the couch and game. But I tried it out with my racing seat that sits pretty low to the ground and it works great. So on the couch on in my racing seat the adjust ability is flawless. Everything moves and tilts perfect for my size.

I dont have a G25 or 27 to attach it to yet, I just used my old Logitech GT3 wheel as a mock up, so I cant comment on how it feels shifting. But it felt really nice all together.

So if your looking for a stand thats solid, foldable, and can be used in conjunction with a racing seat... then I recommend this. A+

Guys can anyone link a good online review that shows both products in high detail with a fair comparison showcasing the benifits of each product?

Both seem to have their own advantages in certain areas and possibly the ideal product would be a mix of both?
Appreciate if someone has any comparison reviews they can link, the SRT video doesnt go into real detail as a proper comparion but more or less states both are good products.

Ok guys update!!

Cant say im to happy, payment went thorugh for the fanatec stand last wednesday, received an e-mail today letting me know that its out of stock!!

Will be delivered end of Sept!!!

Does anyone have any measurements for both stands when it is folded with a G25 attached?

The websites don't have this info (Fanatec website has measurements for stowed without wheel)

fanatec
in hinged position: width, height and depth: 16.9 x 5.1 x 25.6 inches [43 x 13 x 65 cm

In terms of customer service, I can't recommend the Wheel Stand company highly enough. They gave me a tracking number so I could follow the stand's progress on its way here. When it arrived, U.S. customs had rummaged through it, and I noticed the wing nut that attaches the G25 pedals to the base of the stand was missing. I e-mailed the Wheel Stand Rep. (Sebastian, I think it was?) and he sent me a replacement wing nut at no cost to me.

Coincidentally I just received my Wheel Stand Pro (less than 4 days after ordering) and it's missing the wing-nut too - otherwise looks and feels like a quality piece of kit, and having a proper spanner in there is a nice touch. Just dropped a note to Sebastian about the wing-nut, but I'll have a rummage to see if I can find a bolt to use in the meantime.

I want to buy the wheelstand pro but I don't understand...is paypal is the only way to get it or can I use my credit/debit card without the account?
I have the dfgt now but I'm planning to get a g25. If I get the stand for the g25 can I use it with the other wheel with no problem?

Some will know I like to do detailed threads on hardware

I will be covering a comparison of both the Wheel Stand Pro & the Fanatec Renn Sport Wheel Stand
These products we already know are great from owners comments and reviews already done and its more I think a decision on choosing which one suits your own needs or preferences.

What I havnt seen anywhere on the internet is a proper 1:1 comparison that helps people answer that question. Ive requested these products for a fair and properly detailed comparison from each manufacturer. Sean & Darin did a good video on SRT which helped many people probably decide on which to get. My personal interest is in providing a simplified yet detailed review with full pictorial.
Sebastian has kindly sent me out the "Wheel Stand Pro Duo" at very short notice but Im waiting on Thomas getting me the Fanatec model shipped. (seems hes very busy lately)...

The review/comparison will have:
Over 50 detailed photos
Show unique detail of each products components
Each product will be tested and photographed with several wheels individually.

Comparisons to be concluded:
Dimenssions of each unit
Compare heights & adjustments
Folding/ease of use
Stability
Compatibility

Evaluation will be completed and subject to:
Features & Compatibility
Build & Working Performance
Value for money
Conclusion

Most excellent news - Can you also list the dimensions of the units when folded (preferably with a wheel on it)...

This is the final deciding factor for which I buy!

C.

I submitted a question on the dimensions of the Wheelstand pro - here is my response (arrived within 5 minutes of query!)

Sebastian Bik
there are basically two dimensions when folded:
- Logitech/Microsof
w/l/h 25cm/55cm/8cm
- G25
w/l/h 35/65/9cm

with wheels mounted only height rises:
- Log/Mic 38cm
- G25 32cm

When unfolded and ready to play (at 90 degrees):
46cm MIN -> 68cm MAX
measured from the bottom of the wheel; you can lower it further by changing
angle.

PS - bugger I double posted again - didn't realise no-one else had responded to this topic!

EDIT : Wheelstandpro fits my cupboard - Fanatec never got back to me - so have ordered a Wheelstand - should be with me soon!!!

My Wheelstandpro arrived yesterday only three days after I ordered it. Mind you, the distance between Poland and Sweden is not that far.

Everything was in order and the setup was a matter of a few minutes. I had concerns that it would move around on my hardwood floor but it stays like glued. All in all a fine piece of equipment.

One key difference is that supposedly the WSP can only be extended to a maximum of 68cm from the ground. That's fine for sofas but not enough for use with a dining table chair: In that case you need more like 74-75cm.

I went with the Fanatec Rennsport. Tried it with G25 and DFGT wheels, no issues so far. The ability to raise it to 74cm was very important for me because I need it that height for use with the PC, while I have it at 67cm together with a nice comfy chair behind the TV for GT5 prologue.

I thought about that to. Fortunately for my I'm not that tall. I use the WSP on my couch and also a racing seat I have. It works great for both.

Let me ask you, Does that giant knob on the center upright of the Fanatec stand get in the way? That was a major swaying point for me.

Weird, works fine with my sofa, glider-rocker, and dining table chairs. Maybe you have bigger chairs? Or I am just below average height.

The giant knob isn't remotely in the way for me, no matter what height I use the wheel.

However, the upright beam is quite wide so you have to place G25 pedals asymmetrically if you want to left-foot brake because otherwise the upright will get in the way of you moving your left foot past half way to the brake. DFGT pedals are fine when centered, plenty of room for them.

edit: re: Foolkiller - I'm certainly above average height, so I guess I need the wheel higher than some. But still, 68cm is pretty low for dining table chairs. You must have very thin legs :) [68cm is the quoted maximum from the WSP makers themselves. I got that confirmed by email]

lol one hour ago I made the transaction for the g25 wheelstandpro and a few minutes ago the guy who sends the stands from Italy called me saying there's no need for him to send it since he lives near me. Well I'm going to see him tomorrow, hope he'll give me back the money for the delivery (about 15€ I suppose)

EDIT: just got it!!! It's damn solid! And I got 10 euros from the guy, so I paid 115€ instead of 125 :D

I have the WheelStand Pro and i was pretty happy with it until today. I was playing SHIFT alot recently and after killing my console it also killed my Wheel Stand.
Drifting is pretty hard in SHIFT and so i have to move the wheel (G25) pretty much. Now the plate that holds the wheel is tilting up and down a bit.

Maybe it just needs a re-tightening? I havent come across this problem yet, but I also havent been drifting like that yet  I'll keep my eye on it.

I cant, its already as tight as it gets. If i should try harder it will probably be damaged a bit more, because the tube already is a bit out of shape. :indiff:

I blocked the movement with some pice of plastic, which holds the plate in place.

WheelStandPro is an excellent product, but this is a potential problem.
The bolt which secures the horizontal platform upon which the wheel is attached needs to be quite tight in order to avoid the platform tilting.
However, this has the undesirable effect of crushing the support tube at this point.
The remedy would be to fit a spacer tube on the bolt, inside the tube. This would enable the fixing bolt to be sufficiently tight whilst being unable to crush the tube. 👍

I ordered the WSP for my new G27 wheel last Saturday and haven't received any shipping info as of yet. My question is, do they reply via email with tracking numbers to all their customers once shipped? I called a few times in the US facility, and left messages regards to my order status but no reply.

EDIT: Received tracking information today.

OK - I just removed the G25 from the stand, so I decided to try to improve this shortcoming.
There is, in fact, a spacer tube exactly as I described above. However, the tube is slightly too short and chopped at 90 degrees. Hence it's not the ideal shape for the internal profile of the tube.
I rummaged around in my stock of washers and found a spring washer which matched the ID and OD of the spacer tube. I flattened the springwasher to remove the slight 'coil' shape and temporarily fixed the washer to the end of the tube using insulation tape. Finally I ground chamfers on each end of the tube/washer assembly to closer follow the internal profile of the support tube and reassembled the stand.
I had to push apart the brackets on the platform because they had been slightly pushed together as a result of the spacer tube being too short previously.
Tightened it all up again and now the assembly is solid as a rock 👍

Atlast, stand delivered on the 28th!!! Only took about 10-15 minutes to assemble! Not really had a proper run with it yet,, but it feels rock soild!
