Here be my answer.

I've never understood the rush to get new systems on release. Especially in Sony's case, where they've historically had hilariously weak launch-day lineups. PS4 doesn't look to change this, and I'm fine with that; I can wait until the first price reduction, just like I waited for a while for PS3.

If some one does not have gaming PC and wants to play games at 1080P PS4 is the way to go. Moreover the new controller. Exclusives wise it depends on opinion. I think PS4 has pretty good lineup and exclusive content like AC4 balck flag has addition gameplay on PS4. There are many people who like to get latest stuff. My bro was the 3rd person to get Ipad air from a store. Some people are gadget freak and many are already bored with current gen. I think there are lots of reasons. It depends on the person :)

I am myself so tempted with all the hype and want to get my hands on DS4.

I plan on getting a PS4 in early 2015. By that time, MLB The Show should have new features, run very smoothly, and overall be a great game.
And then i'm expecting GT7 to be released later that year.


I didn't even get my PS3 until October of 2011, because I wasn't too much into "HD gaming"(nor did I really care). Mine plays PS2 games, so maybe the PS4 can by that time, too.
 
Probably never but if I should start gaming again, I am not interested in buying the PS4 as long as GT7 isn't released.

So if what Kaz says is true, then you'll be buying one in 2014 or 2015.

Right now, there aren't many games for the system since GTAV's server issues caused a lot of them to re-evaluate their own servers and online stuffs. So, it will probably be spring or fall before I pick up a PS4. (Xbox One will have to wait until there's more than just one game that interests me.)

Still got unfinished business with my ps3:

-The Last of Us DLC
-GTA5 DLC
-and of course GT6 ;)

More like 2016 should I buy a PS4.
 
Damn ... PS4 sold a million already in first 24hrs in N.A alone. This is a new record for console as of now. Looks like lots of people were tired of current gen. Anyways more people buy the sooner GT7 will come to PS4 :)

As an owner of a decent PC the short answer for me is not yet. I will buy it when something I want comes out on it which isn't coming to PC, there's certainly nothing yet which is a system seller for me and there doesn't appear to be anything until 2014 at least. Once I've got it I'll probably buy some more multi-platform games based on what system my friends are on or the genre in some cases.
