When does an FGT run out of steam?

Mine's been doing a lot B-spec grinding and just hit 3,500m. Even with oil and wash it seems to have lost all drivability. Is it worth spending a mil on a complete overhaul or will I just have to dip into my savings and buy a new one, just to complete the online seasonal?

Also, does anyone else think the Body Rigidity improvements might actually make this car worse?

Lost all drivability, really? I think mine has like 20,000kms and I drove it just fine, I won some races of seasonal FGT. I haven't done engine overhaul or anything to it, the bhp loss is not that noticeable anyway

The engine starts losing HP after about 150 miles without an oil change, after 3000 miles without an engine overhaul, and permanently over 15000 miles. So at 3500 miles, without any engine overhaul, its going to start slowly losing HP. However, its only going to really matter for a closely matched series like the FGT Championship.

As for the Chassis Overhaul, it depends on how often you're hitting walls and cars when driving. If your handling is noticably degraded, and there's no other reason for it (changed the car's settings), you likely need one.

The chassis reinforcement is tricky because you can't undo it once its done. I have one FGT that has it, and one that doesn't. It should handle better IF the car settings are optimized, BUT it is more sensitive to the car's settings ... so the handling can get worse if your car's settings aren't perfect. Since I don't do a lot of fine setting adjustments except in the series it's needed (NASCAR and FGT Championships), I tend to not do the reinforcement.

It died on me right when I got a X2010, it was at 3500-5000 km and I needed to pay 1.000.000 for it to work.

Never of my life, I will just borrow another FGT.

^ I think he meant the FGT.

I have two of these cars. One is my original which I use for racing FGT races offline and has had a few restores to both chassis and engine, the other is limited to use in what I call FGT Junior races and has not enough miles to warrant a restore.

Just did the engine and body overhaul. Power wasn't bad before and is about the same now, but the handling has still gone nuts. Even with soft tyres and downforce turned all the way up, the car just spins like a top at the first bend. Its like all grip is gone. Maybe this is to do with the rigidity improvement and not being set up right as someone said.

My F10 and 07 both have about 100 miles on and drive absolutely perfect, like how I seem to remember the FGT doing. I think the car may simply be past it, I'll have to buy another one and find out for sure, I can't possibly have just forgotten how to drive the car lol
