if your from the UK then ITV I think , if your from the Middle East (long shot) then its Aljazzera sport

On occasion, it is on CBS here in the US. You can check here for dates. I'm sure the Speed website will have times for broadcasts as well. If they are not there, check CBS.

^Fox, but with the SPEED crew (mercifully). No more comments from Derek Daly explaining that, to drive the car, the driver must use the steering wheel.

How can we tell you what station to watch it on, if we don't know what country you'll be watching it in?

PLEASE NOTE
Formula 1 has exercised its option to put four races on broadcast television in 2007. The Canadian, United States, French and British Grands Prix will be shown on the Fox broadcast network prior to SPEED's delayed telecasts. The Canadian and USGP races will be televised live on Fox, practice and qualifying for all F1 weekends remain on SPEED.

All F1 events will be blacked out in Mexico, Latin America, and the Caribbean. Replays of all F1 qualifying and races on Speed will be shown as scheduled in all countries (including Canada) with NO blackout restrictions.

I'm glad Fox will show the US and Canadian races live. Good to see the parent broadcasting company step up to the plate, perhaps to justify keeping Speed since Fox will apparently relinquish NASCAR in the next year or so?

im in the USA. I forget this forum is so International. Thanks for the INFO posted, are there any good websites to check for other info on F1? i had an F1 mag once, read a bit but it was kinda pointless cause i cluess to who i was reading about. haha

I watch on TSN, it gets a live ITV feed for race coverage. 10x better commentary than the SPEED guys.

We got the joyful ITV, 10 minutes gone already, we have to have a break!

ITV should be shot.

[/rant]

Are you joking. Speed is so much better than ITV. I only watch TSN's feed of ITV when it's not live on Speed and it's on CBS instead.

Wade a bit through Wikipedia's F1 Portal, google some F1 sites, but if you can pick up a copy of an Autocourse or any other F1 annual in a library, you'll get a good idea about what goes on in a typical Grand Prix weekend.

ITV sucks for one very big reason...

ADVERTS!

They burn me up, adverts during a live race... Re-runs (particularly early morning races such as Australia and Japan) are fine because you don't miss anything...I pine for the days Formula 1 was on BBC2 in the UK.

meh, to each his own...
I do prefer the Speed pre-race and post-race to TSN's. The walk down the grid is interesting and I simply cannot stand to listen to Vic Rauter on TSN.

But for the race itself, I guess I just got accustomed to listening to Murray Walker and Martin Brundle when I started watching in the mid-90's (and Jackie Stewart and Walker in 1995 the first year I watched, if I remember well).
I'll say that the coverage is less entertaining without Walker doing it anymore, but I still enjoy the pairing of Brundle and Allen to Varsha and anyone. ...I guess just after watching F1 for half my life with British commentary it seems out of place to listen to an American call a race.

I've got nothing against Hobbs or Steve Matchett. Infact, I'm a pretty big fan of Matchett - I read his book, The Mechanic's Tale, a decade or so ago, and it's a great insight into the sport of F1 from a perspective other than a driver's.
TSN (ITV) is just my preference.

edit: remembered the question in post 9. GotSpoon?, The Mechanic's Tale might be a good read for you. It won't offer much in the way of current information about teams or drivers (it'd be more like a history lesson, really), but it would give a great impression of the various challenges teams face throughout the season and the feverish pace they maintain to keep cars in working order and get them onto the starting grid.

As for websites, http://www.Formula1.com, and http://www.f1technical.net/ usually have enough information and news to keep me satisfied.
