It depends on how fast you're going. Mostly use the brakes, but if you are going slow enough to where you're sure you won't lose control immediately, you can <sometimes> use the handbrake.
I find the control of a dynamic traling braking entry, espcially with a little work on teh setup, is much better, smoother, and faster. And since I usual speed drift, that speed is important
