  1. Load GT5 on PS3
  2. Decline the inevitable 100000cr. booster because I have GT5P
  3. Watch intro making the same noises I did when watching the E3 trailer and seeing news of Lambo and Bugatti (sort of like Jezza with the pirahnas on the TG Vietnam special
  4. Look at dealershpis
  5. Look at the starter money I have
  6. look at dealerships
  7. buy car
  8. go into TT to test physics
  9. do the first licence
  10. grind, grind and grind some more
  11. Once I have 10 cars and think I'm getting good money (when I'm actually not), grind my way up to the Pagani Zonda F roadster.

I'll probably put the game in and admire the awesome intro.....

...turn off my PS3, and admire the awesome intro again.

-And then go through every option and car dealership possible....all while going crazy because the 5 year wait has ended.
-I'll also decline the credit or car transfer from prologue
-The dreaded and yet somehow fun license tests
-Go through arcade mode a little bit and drive a Dodge SRT-4 hopefully with full interior (my daily driver)
-Begin the long and awesome journey...

Oh how sweet it will be.

Adjust all the settings, load all the best racing music to my ps3, browse all the cars available. buy the cheapest Honda, take lots of pics, probably start racing online.. day 2 get licenses. lol

Go to Nurburgring track with a 1886 Merc Paten Motorwagon  j/k. I'll probably head over to arcade mode first try to feel the physics and all sort of interesting stuff. Drive the S2000 convertible open and rev it to it's limits just like the good old GT4 day's at Nurburgring racing vs an Elise (one of the best race I got and it's kinda hard, too). I hope the convertible option is going to be there and 1 vs 1 offline race or w/e how many opponents you want.

Alright well...

1) Take it home
2) Spend about 4 minutes looking at the box and reading all the words on the back, admiring the pictures.
3) DESTROY the shrink wrap (being careful not to scratch the box)
4) Open box slowly
5) Remove the manual and briefly scan through it, pretending I'm reading the manual.
6) Look at myself in the reflection of the disc after I removed it from the case.
7) Slowly attempt to put it into the PlayStation's drive, realize GT5P is in there and get worried that I ruined the disc... so I quickly remove GT5P, say goodbye, put it gently into the case and toss it out the window while I put GT5 in the drive.
8) Look at every screen that comes up, restart the system to watch the intro at least twice.
9) Look at EVERY car in the dealership and take note of the awesome cars.
10) Then do something that seems right, as this will be my first full Gran Turismo game ever. Probably try out the online, of course. :)

Look through the manual, set up the control options so that R2- gas, and L2 brake, R1 upshift, L1 downshift.
License tests, maybe scroll throguh what cars are in the game
After tests, RACE

Also- make this my first Gran Turismo game to complete %100

Browse everything in the game first see what is what and where everything is
Adjust settings fort he game (options)
Arcade mode first to look at a few cars and try a couple available tracks.
Do all the license tests (not to fussed for all gold right away can come back and do it later)
Suss out the private rooms & lobbies and see if they are categorized into your region
and have a good time :)

WRC & nascar is something i'll be keen to try and see how they done it :)

Play this music.

Play Forza 3...

Nah just messing with you guys...I'll play Forza 2.

Haha, nice. 👍

1. Rip open the packaging on the way home from the nearest GameStop at 12:15AM (considering that i'll be there for the midnight release... 24 hours early), causing myself to quite nearly crash.

2. Read the packet in the case, also while driving, while sleeping, and definitely, at this point, crashing.

3. Get home, set everything up, and pop it in.

4. Watch the opening movie (probably more than once).

5. Reach for the amp and turn it up far too loud for the neighbors, particularly at a bit past midnight.

6. Set all the settings correctly and go to the dealers to see what cars I might want... immediately.

7. License tests. On the first... few... many... i'll probably just mess about and see if i can damage the cars, or just drive around the tracks and whatnot (probably an oval!).

8. Time trials / messing about with newly won cars. Probably try my hands at the HD Nürb or La Sarthe II

9. Find a quick way to get cash to tune a car specifically to these settings...
(you'll know where this is coming from if you watch Top Gear. It's in series 13 episode... 5? 6? 5...?)
Mitsubishi Evo VII
White, black wheels
~500BHP
Insane turbocharger
Weight reduction
Upgraded / tuned brakes and suspension...

and I think that's it.
Then I'll try at an E-Type!
E-TYPE
E-TYPE

Go to the options menu and set everything up the way I like, or maybe just play it the way it is out of the box. Take a look at career mode, and go buy a used car for the beginning races, and tweak the **** out of it.

Hopefully this game will have trucks and SUVs in it...can't wait to drive a Dakota R/T in a video game.

Hopefully we can set tire/wheel sizes realistically like Forza.

I think my plans are as follows:
1. Try to stop crying long enough to put the disc in the PS3, then resume crying.
2. Change pants.
3. Look at all the cars.
4. Change pants.
5. Look at all the tracks.
6. Change pants.
7. Do everything I need to to get an Evo VI, VIII or IX, RS or MR, and tune it up as much as possible. I'm guessing this will take some time; not a problem.
8. Change pants.
9. Do some time attack laps at Tsukuba and try to beat my previous record of 45-46 seconds (somewhere between the two) in GT4 with a VIII MR (with N2O, though...)
10. Post the replay of the fastest lap to Youtube.
11. Change pants.
12. Stop crying.

@step 12: I'm afraid you won't be able to xD;

@Stiggie: Hm... I've been listening to that for quite a while.
I'd be willing to bet a fairly good sum of money that that will be featured in GT5's opening movie.

Absolutely! I'll do the same.

Even though the added in-car view will add more enjoyment to the license test with a proper sense of speed and good physics. (with a wheel of course). The in-car view in my opinion change the whole experience of Gran Turismo and for me, made it more fun. I never thought GT5 prologue will last like this for me and it's only a 1/8 game of the final game, probably mainly because of the in-car view and the best graphics/physics for a console wim game.

p.s, do you think the lobbies will be regioned? So you have one for australia, Europe, USA, Japan etc etc?

I hope not.

A lot of best driver are in Europe and Japan so it will suck if you can only race on w/e region you are or need to buy 3 different region of GT5 to race everyone. That would cost a Fortune.

Yeah I know what you mean about the interior cam. When I use the controller, I usually use the bumper cam, but when I hook up my wheel, I just recently started getting more into the interior cam (it just wasn't appealing to me at first, but it definitely grew on me...I've just never been good at racing in the interior), and actually added a lot of life to GT5p for me as well.

Just sit in a dark room, back to back with the game and just wait another hour, cuz if i waited this long, 60 more minutes of abstinence won't kill me.

First thing after buying the game and bringing it home? We're planning a little celebration, which contains breaking down a 0,7l bottle of Vodka and playing a split-screen race on the Nurburgring using two wheels connected to my PS3. Not sure about the preferred order of those tasks, but they sure as hell gonna happen :)

I'll get home and do all the licences, same as I have every other GT title.
