First of all let me start by saying I love GT5 and think it is hands down better than Forza 3 in every aspect.....except the cars!!!

I'm sorry they had 5 years to make this game and boast about 1000 cars when the truth is a lot of that 1000 cars are older, and model changes of Japanese varients! Where are the the rest of the exotics? There are a lot of Super Cars and European and US cars that are missing from this game that should be in it.

I know why they don't have Porsche, but why aren't the Ruf models Premium? Ferrari is missing a bunch of nice cars such as the 355, 575, F50, FXX. Models from Gumpert, Hennesey and SSC?

56% Japanese cars!
87 Hondas(26 of the are NSXs)
58 Mazdas(18 RX-7s)
60 Mitsubishi(21 Evos)
123 Nissans(30 Skyline GT-Rs)

This is really my only gripe with the game. There are obviously a lot of cars in the game, the modeling on the premium is amazing, but I would have rather had 500 cars that were more spread out amongst a lot more manufacturers and certainly a lot more exotic super cars. I just hope a lot of DLC is on the way!

I agree that there's far too many variants of the same Japanese cars, but it's a Japanese game and those cars have a huge fanbase so it's to be expected. There's still a large selection of Ferraris, I wish the F50 was in the game but at least they have the F40 and Enzo. I think the FXX is out of the question considering the exclusivity of the model.

Hopefully we'll see some good additions via DLC though.

And I understand the whole origin of the game thing. I just think that after 5 years they put out the entire catalog including several varients from the same year, and model of certain cars on the Japanese side and overlooked a huge section of cars with manufacturers in Europe and elsewhere.

Well, basically they were cutting corners to reach 1,000 cars. They imported all of the GT4 cars, which were predominantly Japanese. As far as the new premiums go the ratio of European to Japanese isn't as bad.

Considering GT-1 was almost entirely Japanese cars, they are making some progress towards balancing it out.

Licensing issues. :(

And time took them what 6 months per car for premium? but i look at it like the they working on gt6 which should be the same engine with tweaks, they already siad there were going to be dlc cars that were going to add more premium cars to the game, there is no reason why they are modeling more cars for gt6 they they could not filter their way to gt5.

And i can see rufs, and some other popular cars getting premium treatment sooner or later, just remains to be seen how much that is going to cost us.

When everybody could have his most famous car in the game, PD need to model a million one.

I am ok with the decision of PD, over 200 cars for now feels right (don´t drive Standards).

And I would never wish to have a Gumpert Apollo and this Supercar-**** in the game. So I am happy about the decision they made.

If you not noticed: japanese cars are the most sold cars in the world. So they are very popular. I like some of them too and I don´t care about the numbers of them in the game.

I want some FIA GT1 cars. Like the Masarati MC12 in Vidaphone livery from the FIA GT1 2010 championship.

I love my nissans! Give me more!

This is just to balance the complaints about the car count bias ... this has been discussed before, several times, This is a japanese company with easy access to japanese cars.

Indeed it has. Also, we've had plenty of wishlists in the past too. So, this is closing.
