Where are the f1 cars??

Am I missing them or are there no f1 cars in gt6?? I see the formula gt and the light car company rocket, are they the ONLY single seaters in the game?
 
Yes, there are no Ferrari F1's anymore, but we might be getting an Ayrton Senna F1 car in the future. Not sure whether it'll be McLaren or Lotus though.
 
That sounds cool, but I am a bit disappointed that something as popular as single seat racing is almost ignored, yet we get so many GT-Rs.
I'd love a less powerful version of the formula gt. iv tried lowering the power but it's still a beast.
 
I'm not saying this 'cause of my avatar but karts and the old Audi "F1" car from the 1930's are also single-seaters in the game. I'm hoping for ALL F1 cars Senna drove in his career. The Toleman should be easy to get but not sure about the Lotus and the McLaren. I doubt we'll see the Williams one and it'll probably be for the best.

If you don't wish to call the x car single seaters then sure :sly:

Out of all the stuff though you could've missed this was probably the one thing that many noticed early on. Though PD have yet to tell us why (and probably never will), it was shown early on in the list that we wouldn't have it so...
 
Big disapointment to see no modern F1 cars in the game, Senna's car will be interesting but it's not even comparable to a modern F1 car in terms of driving style or laptimes, it's a very different beast.

They only have the license up to 1987, after that it seems there was not likeness due to the team you just mentioned.

You know the one that keeps their drivers trophies and all that jazz.
 
I'm hoping the Lotus or McLaren are unlocked for completing the game or collecting all stars. If that isn't the case then we're stuck with the Formula GT until May 2014 :(

The McLaren is going to look fantastic in the Monaco tunnel.

yeah all those group c and lmp cars and general sports/race cars are really gt cars huh
 
Besides a Senna car, I'd also like to see some other F1 cars, maybe from somewhere in the early 2000's. I've always had a soft spot for those bright yellow Jordans. Villeneuve's '97 Williams would be cool too.

Light Car Company's Rocket 07' is most like an old grand prix car in GT6 u can win it by getting all gold on the first 3 goodwood hill climb events but it looks to me like a Senna F1 car will be put in the game. maybe use rocket as a sort of Formula 3 class

Closer to GT cars than F1 me thinks... :D

EDIT: FYI, Group C was a category of motorsport, introduced by the FIA in 1982 for sports car racing, along with Group A for touring cars and Group B for GT's.
Le Mans Prototype (commonly abbreviated as LMP) are the fastest closed-wheel racing cars used in circuit racing today, considered a class above production-based Grand Tourer cars which compete alongside them in sports car racing.

Still closer to F1 cars :lol:

no lmps are nothing like f1 they handle like land yachts compared to the ferrari f1s in gt5

So Forza Motorsport should only include Ferraris? I always think of Ferrari if I hear the word forza...
 
I find it really odd to omit the Ferrari F1 cars from GT6. PD has the Ferrari license, why not utilize them again?
 
Maybe they chose to include another team and Ferrari got all pissy and said they couldn't use them?


I'd rather have a 2014 Red Bull car over those old Ferraris. Wouldn't it be great if they launched the RB10 in the game on the same day Red Bull reveal it to the world?
 
Kaz and PD opted not to put Ferrari F1's in the game because of the hacking people were doing with them. Yes it is true that they fixed the physics hacking. However the color hacking was never fixed. so you could still see lime green F2007 or a matt black F10. It wasn't really a big deal after they fixed the physics hacking but it was hard to tell which people were hacking and which were not because the fastest guys on the game raced the F1's and they were so fast that people accused them of hacking when they were not. THIS IS FROM KAZ HIMSELF

Wow, nice pictures! The "standard" cars really do look better in GT6!
