How could a game about hunting a terrorist mastermind in the Middle East possibly be a plausible sequel to the rest of the Grand Theft Auto games?

It's hard to tell sometimes :dopey: . Some of the stuff that people seriously suggest is beyond belief. I once posted a load of daft nonsense I wanted in San Andreas (time travel, space travel, etc.) on another forum and more than one person thought they were good ideas.

I think that Russia is a great Idea. With all the corruption and money flowing into that country it should be very easy and very interesting to make a game in a country that is already really messed up.

But again, it's not publicated enough to get good ratings for the GTA Series. People have to understand that Rockstar will only make games based on more infamous criminal areas, such as Miami (infamous for Drugs), New York (Infamous for the Mafia) and California (Infamous for Gang Warfare and Riots, Drugs and Street Racing), to name a few from each. London is infamous for the London Mobs, Drugs and Gang Hits.

Russia. More infamous for Army control. It also wouldn't be a great setting for a GTA. Mexico/Texas is one of the best I've heard so far. Still, I'm sticking with London or Liberty City (an extension of it, anyway).
 
actually when i thought of it nz has good gangs to be included in a gta game like the 'mongrel mob' and 'black power' which are both pretty bad gangs and numourous bike gangs and streets gangs in auckland. i thinks its a good idea but you would have to get used to the country side.
 
It would be different.

If they included Matamata, Te Aroha, Hamilton, The Mount and the little town where I live aswell as Auckland. I'd buy it before it was even made.

"Black Power", "the Mongrel Mob" and all of the Pakeha (white) gangs. It's quite scary to think of it like that.
 
The next game should take place in a PS3 remake of Liberty City with a more ambitious map layout. Sorry to say, but I don't think there's another location that can top NY, Cali, or Miami. A GTA Tokyo for example would be a disaster.
 
Exactly. mashoutposse has precisely the point that I'm trying to prove. London, though, could have the ablility to be okay.
 
You know if they do the U.K. and did it in Manchester. There is a specific area I'd advise you stay away from. Canal street :scared: Once you go along that, you'll be changed for life. It's the gayest street. Literally. :yuck: :sick: 👎
 
Sounds like Kings Cross in Sydney.

But I doubt Manchester, anywhere other than London would be excruciatingly boring.

I think they would make use of the airport so that u can fly to another state or country... For example... They wouldn't need a GTA:London.. if they mixed Liberty city (Or the whole NY) SA and London... That would give a different feel to each area making the game even more complete!! Though that means they need a big ass radio thing goin on cause they are in different places... But I think thats the way to go... I don't want a whole whole state like California... That would be boring cause the whole state has a theme of its own... Even if there is differences such as SA... BTW... What gang or mob goes out of state and has a international crime scene? Russian Mobs?

That's a great idea...partly because I thought of that too! But imagine having three cities..one based on New York, another based on Tokyo and another well, anywhere. No geographical limitations. And considering it'll be made for the PS3. Xbox 2 etc simple to do. Now that game would be huge!
 
Stuff London, do Birmingham. More canals than Venice!
And you could have Wales as the counry side, Snowden as the Mt Chiliad equivalent and Cardiff and Bristol as the two smaller cities :D
 
What about Moscow? Russia in some places is almost lawless in real life. And the Russian Mafia seems to be the crime syndicate of choice? Sounds like a perfect GTA location to me.

Bring it on. I always think that GTA games have not enough space. SA is adequate but I would like to see at least a few states.

They will do something that links Vice City, Liberty City and San Andreas I bet, compilation of old and new characters....

I think you people don't go far enough. I think Rockstar should try to model the entire known universe and stick it on a disk.

Maybe for the PS3 version with high capacity Blu Ray disks they can start sticking in parallel universes and other dimensions.

The whole US would be nice. I think we have enough alien stuff with Back o Beyond. Bigfoot I doubt exists because all the images i've seen, bigfoot was photoshopped in. Why would you explore Antartica?

I agree. I think Rockstar should hire hundreds of photographers and explorers to spend decades trekking across the USA mapping out unmapped forests and mountains so they can produce a game world that's 3000 miles east to west and 1000 north to south.

That's only a few thousand times bigger than San Andreas. I think they should halt production on all other games to produce the next GTA game. It sounds perfectly reasonable to me.

I personally want several hundred thousand square miles of territory to explore and Rockstar owe it to me to produce it. I mean, if we can't explore the entire country in real life, then surely we're entitled to have a virtual version of it that we can somehow explore in our spare time?

But as I said, why stop at trying to digitally recreate one of the biggest countries on earth? Why not map an entire planet? Or the solar system? Or the galaxy? Or the universe?

Let's start with the US first. Good luck on photographing Area 51.:lol: But yes I don't see why not make a GTA at that magnitude. Of course the price would go up but think of the sales beating the GT Series.:eek:

Neither do I. Just because the entire San Andreas (which took 2 entire years to complete) game world only translates to a few square miles in real life (I've heard it takes about 15 minutes to go from the northwest extreme to the southeast extreme) doesn't mean that Rockstar aren't in a position to produce a game thousands of times bigger in the same timescale.

If I was Rockstar I'd commission some scientists to design and build a whole bunch of satellites to photograph at high detail the entire surface of the USA and pay NASA to put them into orbit as a payload on the next major rocket mission launch.

Then I would hire hundreds of geographers, geologists, cartographers, etc. to come up with a viable 3d map of the surface of the USA. I'd then hire project managers, dozens of artists and 3d modellers to translate that into a San Andreas like world.

I would then hire 3d modellers to go to every single car manufacturer on earth and hand model every single model car, truck, plane, bike etc. ever produced and put them into the game.

And then I'd sell the game at $150,000 a copy.

GTA: Universe? That's ridiculous. There would have to be like, 3-4 disks to fit the whole thing. But maybe the ps3 will have disks that are 4 or 5 feet in diameter so you don't need to switch disks. That would be neat.

I've heard that Rockstar have already invented a subspace transgalactical time-travelling spaceship so they can cheat the laws of nature and send hundreds of programmers across the known universe to map other planets so they can put them into the next GTA game.

Or so I've heard. I mean, is there anything Rockstar Games can't do? I've heard that Grand Theft Auto: The Entire Planet Earth is their next project.

Uh I mean't the magnitude of the US but not the visual looks of the US. R* I believe is creative enough. Give them the shape of the US and tell them to fill in it whatever you want.
