Where Does GT6 Save Your Stockyard Cars?

Let's assume your PS3 HDD died and you had a backup save game on a USB drive.

When you restore your save file on the new HDD, does it still keep all your cars in the stockyard?

I'm worried because I have over 1000 cars in the stockyard and I don't want to lose them when my HDD dies.

I know the stockyard cars are not included in your save game and doing a complete PS3 backup on an external HDD literally takes forever.

Ugh...that's what I was afraid of.

I guess I'll have to do a complete back up and not just the save file.

The stockyard is actually part of your savegame.
Once I transferred my save from PS3 (1) to PS3 (2) and my stockyard was still 100% available.

IT's not. One of the GT6.* files hosts the stockyard data.
