I´m actually quite disappointed, that PD left the mighty RUF out of GT5P. It was easily one of my favourite and most used "engines" in GT4. What colud be the reason they left it out?
Colud it be so, that PD is currently making a deal with Porsche, so RUF is out of question? Because, after seing Ferrari in GT series now, it makes sense that also other known super brands would want to be in GT series in the future..
Any ideas folks?

i really doubt that if Porsche was in GT, it wouldn't allow RUF to be.

I see RUF as a tuner and parts supplier of standard Porsches, than as a full blown manufacture. Yes, i know they are recognized as one, but i still feel that is the other half of the business.

I agree with the "It's only prologue" idea.

Inclusions or exclusions at this point do not necessarily mean anything at this point for the full GT5 game. A deal with Porsche is possible, but I figure we'll get a "normal" line up of cars for the full game and I don't see why they would consider dropping RUF barring a such a deal.

It's PROLOGUE. NOT THE FULL GAME.

Likelyhood is that if your going to see RUF, you'll see it in the full game. So don't be dissapointed.

I'm disappointed they only have ONE Mercedes Benz car, I was hoping for at least one more, BUT I CARE LESS since its a Prologue.

Also GT5 Prologue without RUF..ok.. makes sense. So we´ll have to wait and see.. But just imagine, both RUF and Porsche in GT5. The ultimate rivarly ignited!

I never knew Porsche and RUF are rivals. I thought its Porsche vs Ferrari

What are people on about, rivalry between RUF and Porsche? Nonsense.

RUF's are Porsches with performance parts added to them, that's not rivalry, just tuning basically.

Don't see why both couldn't be in the game. Would love to see a GT3 stack up against the RGT. 👍

Ruf tune Poraches but they also build cars from the ground up. the RUf's we've seen in GT games in the past are all cars built by Ruf, they are not tuned Porsches. Ruf is a manufacturer that also offers to tune Peoples Porsches.

I thought Lamborghini was more of HYPER Sports car not super sorts car.. :guilty:
The rivalry is Ferrari v Lamborghini, right from the when the guy switched from building tractors to supercars Lamborghnin was a direct rival to Ferrari.

yeah, it's a prologue!!! do you GordonS think they were gonna include every god damn car in a demo??? think before you speak..

Well, I´m perfectly aware that it is "only" a prologue. Answer to your question: No, I don´t think so. I´m actually very pleased to get all those cars included GT5P. I was just disappointed because of not having RUF. Cool it down, no need for flames, I just asked for few opinions.

you know what's realy disappointing, not having even one toyota. they could have atleast put the mark X supercharged or vitz TRD turbo in it.

I guess that means Toyota won't be in GT5 either.

Damn.

I wonder what pissed Lamborghini so much that Ferrari did.

I wouldn't cry if they didn't have Toyota... some of their recient stuff is so damn boring its unbelievable!

Lambo still build tractors..... they are really nice!!

From Wikipedia (not the most credible source of information, I know, BUT I've heard this story before elsewhere anyways):

"As told by Ferruccio Lamborghini's son, Ferruccio Lamborghini went to meet Enzo Ferrari at the Ferrari factory to complain about the quality of the clutch in his Ferrari 250 GT. An infuriated Enzo Ferrari sent him away telling him to go drive his tractors because he was not able to drive cars. Lamborghini went back to his factory to have the Ferrari's clutch dismantled and found that the clutch in the Ferrari was a product of the manufacturer who supplied the clutches used in Lamborghini tractors. Lamborghini installed a stronger clutch from his factory's warehouse into his Ferrari and solved the clutch failure.

Furious with Enzo Ferrari's arrogant and aloof manner, Ferruccio Lamborghini promised himself he would never own another Ferrari and would beat Ferrari at his own game by creating a superior sports car of his own."

Oh, there's the rare standout road car from time to time...

Toyota TRD Aurion 3500SL -- supercharged 3.5L V6, makes 323HP/241 kW and 295lb.ft/400NM

Once again proving Australia gets all the good cars.

I live in Australia too.

Don't worry. You ain't missing out.

The TRD Aurion is a woeful bucket of crap. :sly:

Honestly, it's better than any Toyota we currently get here in the US. I'm sure it's not much next to the other full-size AU sedans, which are simply legendary.

You know, I'm honestly hoping for more than three Mustangs in the next one, say what you will. For a model that receives more aftermarket support than any other make and model vehicle ever, they certainly are under-represented in GT.

And as to RUF? Bah... I'm holding out for Gemballa -- specifically the Gemballa Mirage GT. Mmm..

Hear!Hear!, Where's the Mustang love? Shelby CS6? etc...
