Where to use my gold chrome..

I just got gold chrome paint, and am not going to dup or save it.

But I want to be sure I pick the right car to use it on.

1. Does it look better on premium cars than standard?

2. If I use it on the Audi R8, does it only paint most of the car, or does it paint the blade behind the doors too? (I would rather the blade does not look the same as the rest of the car.)

3. I am also considering using it on the McLaren, does it look nice on that car?
 
I actually used a gold chrome last night on the Lambo LP670 SuperVeloce. Looks badass. I also used a silver chrome on the Mclaren MP4-12. And I also used a silver chrome on my SLS AMG. I think they were all good choices, but I think my friend is painting his R8 in gold chrome too. I think that would be a great choice.👍
 
Which McLaren, the F1 or MP4-12C? Only you can be the judge as to whether or not it looks good. You can back up your save, paint something and if you don't like it then restore and try the paint on something else. I put gold chrome on my GT by Citroen Race Car, Shelby Cobra (since I got a stupid grey color with no stripes) and Ferrari 512BB. I think my favorite car to use gold chrome on is the Lamborghini Miura which I'll be getting soon.
 
I wanted to spend my Gold on a car which made an impact on automotive industry.
The final choice fell to these:
Mercedes-Benz 300SL - Because it was the first supercar ever made;
Lamborghini Miura - The car which introduced MR drivetrain to supercars, making MR a standard in supercars;
McLaren F1 - Took the supercars to another level with the use of F1 technology. The best car ever made.

I decided I'll go for the F1, simply because it's an icon and my favourite car.
If you want - I can upload the picture but I reckon you'd want to see the beauty by yourself when you paint it.
 
I have to say when I use it on my rims its just not the same luster as when its on a car.
 
just dont waste it like i did, i put it on some random car then didnt like it on that car and resprayed it straight away, just didnt realise how rare it was at the time.
 
I like it on any cars with variance, like rm's or as mentioned cars that keep black wings etc. The Zonda is a good one also. My latest is the old toyota 800 because it keeps it's black top 👍

The chrome is only good on rims as on cars it makes them look tacky. Not cool 👎

True, I painted a few cars with chrome and gold chrome, but honestly, they look a bit tacky. So I tried a Honda Civic Type R-RM with a brown matte paint (Body) and put on these BBS rims and painted them with gold chrome. That looks good, because only the interior part of the rims get painted and the outside stays silver. One of my personal favourites ;)
 
Now I've got past the novelty factor, the chromes look pretty vulgar. I only use them for rims now. Black car with gold chrome rims? Hell yes!
 
Silver Chrome looks good on Muscle cars. Gold chrome looks good on the Lambo Murcielago SV and the TommyKaira ZZII.
 
I have a silver and gold chrome left. Question:

I have the Veyron or my ZR1 RM in mind for the silver chrome...which should I go with?

The gold one I think I may do one of my GTRs...I already did the Lambo SuperVeloce:sly:
 
I think I'm going to go with the Audi R8. I just want to be sure that I can slap a carbon hood on there. Gold and black do go together.

Plus if it looks tacky I can still use my Chrome Line version. (But having a few tacky looking cars is part of the fun.)
 
I understand why some think its just tacky, but here's one that looks sick... the GTR black mask... makes it look evil :) and if you've got one to spare, paint the samba bus gold 👍
