where ya'll work

I work at an LFS (local fish store) by day, and fight crime by night! Er, anyway, I work at an LFS during the day, and load trucks at night. I work 80+ hour weeks, I make decent money, I am saving up so I can finally move out (I'm 18). Hopefully soon enough I will be on my own!!!

Hammer away at a wall of salt and rock at the end of tunnel three feet in diameter in dark hot conditions. The air is laden with particles and that's why I cough up blood all the time. We work 16 hr. shifts and get 6 hrs. off. No breaks. Slacking is a whipping-offense. I live off of the company store and am actually in debt to it. I figure I'll be able to leave in twelve years or so, once I break even.

There are barracks and a shanty town filled with diversions and amusements like saloons and brothels, all owned by the company. Since I work 5:00am to 11:00pm, though, I haven't seen daylight in years.

just dont spend all your money on saloon hookers cause then you'll never get out of the salt mines.....hey if you have kids you could force them to do your work for you......
 
Pfft. Easy life milefile. I used to have to work in an asbestos mine, 20 hrs a day, and I used only to have hot gravel to eat.

Yeah - mining asbestos is profitable seeing as there's loads of companies looking to buy top-grain asbestos.

I work at a resturant in town just doing dishes, very slack work and all the pop you can drink :) it pays $6.65/Hr. well $6.65 Canadian that is
