Where'd the smilies come from?

I'm sitting here, it's 4am so I have time to think or random things.

Where did you guys get the smilies, only reason I ask is because i've never seen them used on any other forum and they are the most awesome smilies on a forum. Were the created by Jordan, or a User here?

Just a thought. 💡

I'd imagine it was created by the GTP staff. It isn't very hard to create animated GIFs, not saying I ever made one.

I have seen a couple around other forums (such as the and the 🤬) but they do seem very well done 👍 Although I suppose Jordan has had 8, 9 (?) years to get them right

I've collected them from a lot of different locations around the web over the years. You'll notice a lot of the smilies have a uniformly polished look to them; they came from an excellent free smiley pack that I found 7 or 8 years ago.

Unfortunately I no longer have the original link to the source (if anyone knows the one I'm referring to, please share it), but most of the collection lives on in GTPlanet's two smiley libraries.

I like these smileys more than ones I see on other forums - even got some copies (from imageshack so it doesn't waste GTP's precious bandwidth ) that I use on other forums 👍
