Yes there is the Mazda speed attenza but i would have thought models like the Mazda speed protege, Mazda speed 3 or the Mazda speed miata would have been in the game. Mostly i am disappointed about there being no Mazda speed 3 because that would be the best ff car in the game. Why would PD leave them out and what do you guys think of there absence.

As said before, PD couldn't add every single car into the game to fit everyone's taste. Granted, it is a bit hard to believe they left out a Mazda someone would want, but they still added everything they knew of or felt the game needed.

although i agree, i'd say the Attenza Touring is an awesome drive and should not be overlooked. if i had 4 MS cars i'd still choose to drive the Attenza. it's such a balanced and sharp driver. and a bit faster than other MS's.

Well i don't know how they left out the Mazda speed 3 fastest ff car in the world 255kph the protege and the miata i could understand being left out but the 3.

really there are alot of cars that are missing from GT5 that alot of us wanted me included but there not there get over it none of us have first hand knowledge of what it took to get the cars in the game. if your a mazda fan there is still alot of RX7s, RX8s, COsmos, altenzas and other cars to keep you happy go drive one of the many mx-5s and stop whining

I'm surprised there was no Mazdaspeed 3 as well, as that is a car that is available in all global markets, including Japan. I wouldn't be surprised if it were only a US or EU market car.

You can look for an '03 Axela 23S and do the following setup: Stage 1 engine, ECU tune, Racing Air Filter, Sports Exhaust, Sports Exhaust Manifold, High-Flow Cat, Mid-RPM turbo. You will get 264/264 here and that's pretty close to the stock Mazdaspeed 3, although a bit low in torque (280 stock for an MS3). The Axela when tuned this way is a pretty decent sub and is still plenty fast!

Isn't this the MSP? 160hp but the torque numbers are low

Not quite, a MSP should be turbo stock and this one isn't (I just checked the one I have).

This particular car I'm not surprised hasn't appeared in the game as MSPs are US market only to my knowledge.

If you want to do an MSP clone, I have the following setup:

Protege '02 (although the Familia Sedan Sport 20 '02 is basically identical):

Standard ECU
No Engine Mods
Sports Air Filter
Standard Intake
Standard Exhaust
Sports - Cat.
Sports Exhaust
Low RPM Turbo.

That will put you over on HP at 194 (stock MSP is 170), but is dead on for torque at 160. If you simply toss the low rpm turbo onto the stock engine otherwise, you will be closer on HP (176) but low on torque (150).

Add the aero kit type B if I recall correctly for a full MSP look, but you won't be able to replicate the MSP wing I'm afraid.

If you want to do an MS6...find a Mazdaspeed Atenza as it's done for you! 👍

Isn't the Protege a standard car?
How does it have an aerokit?

You are correct sir, I was going from memory, and I just double checked, the only aero mods available are the standard A, B, and C wings.

I just compared, both the Familia Sedan Sport and the Protege '02 have a body kit that isn't too far removed from the kit found on US market MSPs. Making either a suitable starting point for building your own clone.

For a Mazdaspeed3 or Mazda 3MPS (europe/australia), try to modify a Mazda Axela 23S '03 up to spec. It's got the right body shape and engine displacement, just bolt on a turbo and tune up to spec and add lowered suspension and you've got a close one.... see if you can beat the real record of 8:39.00 as on http://www.fastestlaps.com/tracks/nordschleife.html

The MX5 TC is the Mazda speed miata or close isn't it?

Another USDM only car, as I recall (wait... you mean the US actually got the best instead of the worst for once?). It's also based on an NB model (exposed headlights), and is fully a street car with no rollcage or anything.

You complain about that (and I agree) - but no premium BMW E46, GTR, or CSL is a tragedy. But with all the Japanese cars, it is weird no MS3; those cars are actually fairly common where I live, great car for the money.

I was really hoping to have a Mazdaspeed 3 in the game seeing how I drive one in real life. Really surprised it didn't make it considering its availability in Japan, North America, Europe, and Australia.

US didn't get the best MX-5; Japan got an extremely limited run of a factory-produced coupe.

As for the MS3, I have one as well. I managed to recreate it pretty well using a standard Axela - with use of the power limiter and tirelessly finding the right combination of parts, it has exactly 263hp and 280lb-ft of torque.

Would you care to share the parts combo you used so we can recreate our own clones. thanks.

I wouldn't mind seeing a premium 2007 (or 08 or 09) Mazdaspeed3 in the game as I own one. lol. It's in Forza 4 and is actually pretty accurate in feel to mine. I'd like to have it in GT5 to experiment with some upgrades since it's a little pricey to add racing parts in real life. lol. COBB tuning got one to about 440hp on the dyno which set a record for the little 2.3 that's in it from what I read. Quite a bit of power in a FWD considering it rips the car out of your hands at the stock 267hp. Wouldn't stop me from giving it a whirl though. lol.

id like to know where is my Lexus LS 400 or Toyota Celsior!!!!?!?!?

classic! classic! japanese cars. never understood why they weren't featured in the gran turismo games.

I like to pretend my GS300 in GT5 is my real life LS400. ;)

I was hoping it would be in the game also. Great chassis and power for US spec car Japanese car. I would love to have one IRL, let alone as a premium in GT5.
