I'm just starting the Expert series, and i'm about to reach 1,000,000 credits for the first time :)

So i'm going to treat myself by spending it all on a new car :D

Soooo, i was thinking of getting an Enzo....

Is this a good move? Is it a great car? What's the handling like? Is it good enough to compete in the expert series, and the GT World championships in professional?

Other options? McLaren F1?

Premium model only for this milestone purchase :D

Get a SuperGT car. The Enzo is nice, but SuperGT more useful.

Hmm i got em both i would say the mclaren would be the easier of the two to trick out and win with the enzo you cannot add front downforce at all, tho if you get to learn how to drive it it is a darn fine car, but the mclaren f1 is great handling car even without aero treatment, kept mine wing free just cause i like the sleakness of the base car body.

My b spec guys won the all stars and some of the other hard championships with the enzo tho so it is doable if the b spec guys can handle the car. But players find it understeers way too much because of the lack of front downforce and the fact that when the car is going fast it still looks slow in tight corners so you wonder why you are not holding the line and look down to realize your doing 80 mph in a a 50 mph turn. So the enzo takes a good bit of practice to get good.

Well, I bought the Enzo, won the Italian championship with it. Found I couldn't quite get it to turn as well as it could go fast so I tried to sell it to recoup some of my investment only to find out I couldn't sell it. Now it sits in the garage where I occasionally take it out and tweak on the tuning to try and make it drivable. If I had to do it all over again, I would definitely spend my money elsewhere.

What I would buy, I don't know.... I'm not up to 1m Credits again, so....

I guess I am glad I have the Enzo, it's a treat to drive, just not that practical. I was hoping to get more use out of it. :)

Ohhhhh I was planning on buy a Enzo when I got home. Just a few more races and I'll have 1mill.

Guess I'll take a look at the Super GT cars. Are they about 1Mill cr?

SuperGT cars are $950k. With $1m you can buy one and complete the set of racing tires. :)

I bought the Takata Dome NSX as it sounded the best. They are all just about equal though.

Could always get a corvette Z06 and race mod it.

hmmmm, i really wanted an enzo, but i don't want to waste this money :nervous:

I won the italian with the 458, which i found a joy to drive!

Really need something that can compete when tuned in the expert and some of the extreme events :/

Might need to be a SuperGT type car then..... What is best for my 1m ?

Thing about the gt cars is they got no pace above 200 mph, so fast tracks your blazing around corners but have to draft for speed, and will be out of luck on straights, even if you put the max turbo on the things the most they will do is about 202 mph.

I would advise to save your money cause you can win a Zonda R in B-Spec, also i bought the 908 & the F10 but don't buy the F10 cause you can't use it yet till you get the events for it.

Who makes SuperGT cars in GT5? Honda, Nissan and Toyota? And are they all the GT500 or some GT300?

Thanks.

I thought the 950k were the Gt500 cars...?

NIssan sells the gt cars i own the level 21 one and telling you they got no top end speed great for short twisty tracks but that is about it.

I'd advise you save your money, you'll need it.

If only i was sensible! I can't manage to save a penny in real life, so i think there is no chance of doing it in GT

I think i'm going to go for the Enzo and try to tame it :)

I have a dream that i can compete against race cars with it :dopey:

...and Lexus.

GT500 for everything. I think the Wedsport IS is GT300 although I'm not sure.

I've decided against this. I am in no rush to ruin the fun of GT by driving the same car doing the same course just so I can get an F1 and to "beat" the game. There will be plentyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy of time for that later.

So what would be a good all around race car then? I too am getting close to 1m Cr...

I'd buy a McLaren F1 over an Enzo any day, but to each his own.

Agreed.👍

I to would buy the Mclaren F1 but whatever.

The Wedsport IS200 is GT300, the Subarut Impreza GT300 is GT300 and there's a GT300 class Amemiya RX7, the yellow one. Other Gt300 cars can be bought in the Used car section, but all the other new Super GT cars are GT500. The price is the easiest marker, if it's new and 500,000Cr it's GT300, if it's 950,000Cr it's GT500.

I bought the Mclaren F1 and I certainly don't regret it. 👍

Most the good ones are 900K, and are fantastic handlers..

I've been wanting that car ever since I hit 1 million credits but I've known to manage my money so I haven't bought it yet. I might buy one very soon since I missed the Formula GT and I know it won't come up for a loooooong time.

Also, don't waste your money on a GT car. Do B-Spec and win the Mazda Furai concept, then use that car to win the Minolta in A-Spec.

I buy cars to have fun then i worry about the cash later, so i bought an enzo, slr, mclaren f1, etc cars you do not win auto from races. You can be a miser or just buy the cars you want take them out on the practice track and have fun.

Granted the downside of these or any of the omg cars is the cost to fix them up when their chassis and engine start to go. Since the repairs will be about 80% of the cost of the car. In the poly f1 is a cool million, the enzo, mclaren f1 million cars will cost 800k, etc. But i got an italia, a 599, AMGs, etc a bunch of other cheaper capable cars that do me for general fun/racing and save the expensive beasts for the hard stuff.

You are going to be grinding anyway be it a spec or b spec to get levels. So by the time you hit the extreme leagues money will come in at a good clip anyway, nevermind getting golds in the challenges which net a lot of cash in a hurry and some good cars.

And the enzo got me my zonda r which would have cost 4.some million, which got me my Toyota racer from like the wind races etc. So i think the enzo was a good investment for me at lest since my b spec guys drive it really well.
