apolgies if this is a n00b question, but as you al lhave the game, i appreciate the cars are on a cycle, but do the colours change from cycle to cycle?
as in it that bathurst mentioned above was blue in first cycle, next time it appears will it be a different colour?
Thanks

I think the colors are fixed for each given weekly cycle. Of course the same car will be offered in different colors in each cycle that it appears in, given the model has enough different colors.

I played "intensively" GT4 last week-end and noticed the RX7 "Bathrust" model. That unusual name caught my attention but I didn't bought it because I didn't know it is so good and ... I didn't have the money to get it :grumpy:
I remember it had a white or light grey color.
Of course I won,t miss it next time I see it in the used cars lot because imho the RX7 is a classic and it shoild be in the garage of every GT4 racer.
I hope there is a black version, I don't generally like dark cars, the 2 exceptions are the RX7 and the Nismo 270R ( I'm glad the 270 R is back from GT2 )

I would say it's the Aston Martin Vantage as well. Also the most expensive used car outside of the black beauties at $230K.

I saw it once, went back to sell a car to get money, and came back it was gone. Finally grabbed it in British Racing Green when it came around again.

The American muscle cars are also really rare.

Speaking of used cars: I intent to possess every single car in the game, so who can tell me an easy way to get much money?

Some people have said that they like to b-spec the grand valley 300km, which gets you about 500,000 but personally I like doing the hard tarmac rallies to whore money. the second one (I can't remember the track name, it has lots of hairpins and is alot wider than the first tarmac) gets you about 300K and only takes about 1/8 thet time of the enduro. Of course it also can eat up precious days if you are aiming for a certain one.

the lancia delta is a car i've only seen once. once and once only.

needless to say, i snatched it up. it's one of my favorite cars. i haven't seen it ever in red or dark blue, so who knows about the availibility of those colors.

The cars appear on a fixed 7 day cycle, there are 99 cycles, then they repeat, which means cycle 1 will have the exact same cars as cycles 100 including same colors and mileage. I know Famine has posted this before, probably in more than one place, do a search on used car cycles.

The Lotus carlton is not rare I have had it appaer about three times and I'm only on something like day 220.

I've been looking for the used BMW M-Coupe and it just never shows. Has anyone gotten it or know what day it shows up? I found a yellow Bathurst and the Treuno S.S. but cant find the M Coupe anywhere.

I agree, It was a good surprise to discover that the Rally d' Capri could be won without too much problem . I did it at the easy level with a ...Nissan Silvia K 1988. And the car prize ( TOYOTA RSC Rally Raid Car '02 ) can be sold for 200000+.
That race is certainly my "cash cow ".

x2 i bought one, fd type-r bathhurst r is just sitting in the car lot, i opted for the Spirit R, lol

Hey nevermind about the M-Coupe, just checked lot 2 and there it was! Even showed up in blue, the color I wanted it in. I'm on day 737, it cost around 40k I think, got 20k miles on it.

the el capachino 200nile or whatever will lan you about 900k a race and the cars are normal cars really easy to beat

Bathurst is in Gran Turismo 2 is it not? I don't know how you couldn't have heard about it. Also I've seen quite a few Bathursts and M Coupes. Hell they are sitting in my used car lots right now. I'm saving up for something more special though. ;)

Already bought a Used Lotus Esprit V8 GT in this awesome Orange color from 1998 that thing is a beast, won the Pan-Euro Championship with it and only put about 20k into the car. Also got one of those T.M.E. Lancers. Awesome car I highly recommend. I won the Japanese Car Touranment with it.

I saw a very beautiful '73 Nissan Skyline KPGC110, in the historic showroom only once and took it, man that thing is a beauty.

Man, I REALLY miss the car descriptions. Sometimes I just want to know the difference between a RX-7 type R, type RZ, bathurst, etc without having to pop in the old GT's.

Also I read somehwhere there is a white BMW M Coupe that only comes around once. There are probably more like that.

Yeah, it was in one of my used lots recently. But my blue one sucked so bad (to me) that I passed.

I also got the Grand Sport, the Cobra R and the Orange Lotus Esprit... :D

Hah.. after all this talk of the Bathurst R.. i took a visit to Used Car Showroom II. Low and behold, i see a Nissan Skyline '96 V-Spec LM Limited in championship blue, as well as a Mazda RX-7 Type R Bathurst R in yellow.

What are the odds? (Game Day: 450-something, i think 455)

The Bathurst is extremely rare.

Some more I can add:

Honda Z Act '70
Nissan Silvia CSP311 '65
Nissan Skyline 1500 Deluxe '63
Nissan Fairlady 2000 '68
Mitsubishi Galanto GTO MR '70
Jensen Interceptor MKIII '74 (is this the same as the gold license prize?)
Lotus Carlton
Nissan 200SX S14 '96
Sileighty '98 (only saw this ONCE and got it)
Nissan Skyline M.N.P. II '01

I've seen a few odd colors of used cars pop up. I bought a yellow R34 Skyline that I haven't seen again...

Yeah dude! I got the yellow R34 also. Looks very cool with black wheels on it. I've also bought a lime green NSX, although I have no idea how rare it is (may be able to buy it new like the blue/purple flipflop skyline), but I figured I could always resell it if it wasn't rare.

Usually if I see a color that looks unusual, I buy it and sort it out later.

I snapped up a hideous green Jensen Interceptor that I hadn't noticed before, then there was a burgundy one in there on the next cycle. Anyone know how often this model turns up?

I see the Jensen on a normal basis, I never thought it was attractive, so I decide not to buy it. I'm still trying to find a car that can be satisfying. So far, I'm on the hunt for the Lotus Carlton. Seems like an interesting car to drift.. err I mean drive.

It's funny you said that, because I've been seeing the Carlton on a normal basis! It's usually right at the top of the early 90's lot, and the last few have been black.

I agree that the Jensen's not too attractive, but I'm a sucker for fugly cars and/or fugly colours. They're not trying to impress anybody. 👍

I've gotten that one in two colors, red and white, I think it's also available in Black and Silver, but haven't seen them in the used lot.
