I'm going to say the Formula Gran Turismo or the Red Bull X2010. The cockpits aren't the best to look at, but they are the best for me because they are the only two cars out of the whole game which I use the cockpit view for. Otherwise they would be very awkward to drive with the bumper cam as usual.

They are the best cockpit views for me because both wing view mirrors are in sight without having to press a button to look to your left or right. However, having a triple screen setup would fix this problem, but it would be very expensive having to buy three of everything that you need to play Gran Turismo with including 3 PS3's, 3 TV's of identical size and 3 Gran Turismo 5 discs.

I don't own them although I have driven the F2010. If I recall correctly you have to look to the left/right to see the wing view mirrors so you pretty much can't see behind you without sacrificing ALL of your vision of the road ahead. Not sure about the F2007 though, it might be a different story.

EDIT: It wouldn't matter if I was driving on my own though, so I guess F10 and F2007 would count.

On the DFGT, you can look left and right by default by using the D-pad. If you are playing using a controller, then I think you have to manually set it up on the controller map.

If you want a nice race car interior you can drive and enjoy with the HUD off, then the Autobacs Arta Galaiya (not sure about spelling, but you get the point) is perfect. Quite a nippy little car too, great handling characteristics, and probably one of the best 500-550pp cars

VW Schwimmwagen in the rain or snow. The whole windshield is obscured by water droplets (or snowflakes, if the snow track has weather change) except for the tiny window of visibility made by your single wiper blade.

My pick: Any car (even including standards) that has mirrors that actually show you what they are supposed to be pointing at. All the other stuff is nice, but it is automatically disqualified from being "best" if I can't see anything in my mirrors. Being able to see around you is pretty important, ranked slightly above a working tachometer.

Seriously, all the time and effort that went into these beautiful cars, and they couldn't even be bothered to aim the mirrors correctly?? Not even in a patch??

I could understand it if it was just a car or two that slipped through(or if higher zoom levels messed some up). But it almost seems like one out of every four or five cars has one or more useless mirrors. More if you count ones that work but are wrong like side mirrors showing what the center one should(less of a problem obviously).

There's also some that are obscured by parts of the car, although I think a few cars have had that issue on the real thing.

On the mirror thing, the cappuccino rm has great mirrors since theyre on the cars bonnet. They seem very accurate to me.

I would assume the RE Amemiya doraemon FD also has decent mirrors due to the bonnet mirrors

It's been a while since I've driven the Cappucino. I thought the RE Amemiya's would be good too. They're OK, but they don't show alongside the car at all, the car has 3 rear-view mirrors.

I drove it for the 9-hours of Suzuka. Much better mirrors at least than my other recent endurance race cars:
Suzuaka 1000 car - Yellowhat Supra(2 mirrors which don't show you much of anything but the road passing underneath you)

Indy 500 car - Audi R10 (2 TV screens which are aimed in completely wrong and useless directions)

Le Mans 24 car - Pug 908 (4 mirrors, one of which takes up a huge section of the view and shows a wierd kind-of-side-but-kind-of-rear view that is too close to the car or something and somehow manages to show you a cutaway view of cars close behind you and makes it look like they are well off to the side while they are still behind your rear bumper... one outside of that that actually seems like a decent side mirror if you can manage to ignore the huge wacky mirror right in front of it... a third in the cockpit on the other side that shows nothing but perhaps the wall alongside you... and another side mirror that is blocked completely from view by that third mirror)

I ran 3 of those 4 races in the last month - six weeks, so that might help explain why it's bugging me right now.
Other than that, I had no problem with the views from any of them, the 908's high beams aren't even as useless as some suggest and its low-beams are fine to drive with anyway.
