A car that left a good impression on me was the Ford Focus RS ST 06', I tested it and comparing it to the VW Golf V GTI I think it's slightly better and lighter.

I know what you mean, like you didn't xpect as much from that car, however I like the Integra R more than the focus speaking of FF cars, but haven't driven the Golf yet. It handles very very well and is really fast. It is hard to believe a FF car can be so fast. It is even very difficult for me to match my best time in the integra in Eiger reverse with the much lighter lotus elise.

When I initially started the game 18 months ago, the Honda Integra Type R (FF) was the most impressive car for me as I wasn't any good with the RWD cars on Sixaxis. Having spent months using a wheel now, I can appreciate the Ford GTLM Spec II Test Car (MR) for the incredible machine that it is. The Ferrari 512BB comes very close as well. These cars are a real challenge to drive and only improve the skills of the driver using them over a period of time.

All the best

Maz, seeing your impressive progress not only in lap times but also in car taste ;) I expect it to be only a matter of weeks now until we hear you sing the praise of the ultimate driving machine, Honda's fabulous NSX!

 Well, there's a lot of time between now and March :D

Thank you for the kind words Tim, maybe you can wheel your GTLM out for a few races later this week?

Definately, the 512 BB impressed me a lot when I took it, last month, at the 550 PP suzuka with a good tune, I was faster than NSX's which is pretty good for a car that is 30 years old.

For me honestly, it was the SRT-10. When I reached A events, I wanted a viper and was impressed with it's overall speed. It just seems to create its own pace like no other car.

The Ford GT LM....Teaches you how to control throttle and corner quicker. When composed and under control, always full of potential and more able to produce faster times. For best sound, the Corvette Z06 tuned, my TV speakers vibrate furiously, resonating with my heart beats. And finally for most enjoyable (and in my opinion, most beautiful), the Amuse S2000 GT1 Turbo, time trial on London Reverse gets your adrenalin rushing.

These cars always remind me of why GT5 prologue is consistently amazing. Hopefully my already super GT experience will improve when I get a wheel.

Aside from the Esprit I never enjoyed any of the other offerings from Lotus, but for some reason I really like driving the Evora... Not sure why, it just feels right to me. So I guess that car impressed me.

The GT-R. I just adore it, I love it. It's a easy to drive, which is good for me taking in account I've only played GT5P for a couple of days, very forgiving, fast, and corners great. It's also cheap and stunning to look at.

I find that to get the charateristics of the cars fleshed out, heed the tire recommendation in the in-game manual and I usually choose the normal wear option (the least sticky of the range, for example if it's N3-S1, I usually pick the N3).

With that said, the Lotus Elise, both the '96 and the 111R is a great example of what GT5 Prologue has done with its physics. As with any MR, the constant shift of weight between the front and the rear (while braking, cornering, ascending and descending) and the predictibilty between that, is very well depicted on these two vehicles. Both the NSX, as well. And the F430. Of course, using wheel with good FFB is crucial if you want to experience the weight shifting- I have my G25 set to 10.

Ferrari's are like a good wine; they just get better with age. ;)

As for me, it's kinda hard to decide since there are many great cars in the game. But still, the car that probably surprised me the most was the Impreza WRX STI Type RA '05. I don't usually care too much for 4WD cars, but this one impressed me with it's nice handling and feel, especially around Eiger. I like throwing that car around the bends there! :D

The Mitsubishi Evo X actually impressed me with the sheer amount of grip. Though its unbalanced as far as PP is concerned so there are much faster cars to use, this car is very fun. Its good for when i come off GT4 and straight onto GT5P because i can continue mashing the throttle on the corner exits without any worries :P It takes me a while to get in the groove with prologue, the X button is so different in feel on the Sixaxis compared with the DS2. (Different as in worse)

The Lotus Evora actually impressed me too. This car is so fun to use on 550pp events, even though it isn't as competitive as its little brother.

Have you tried assigning the throttle and the brake to the L2-R2 triggers? I find that it's much easier to control the cars that way, especially if you have one of these for added grip...:sly:

Nice sig Timo,

As soon as I got it way back in spec I. I've loved the stock ford gt, brilliant car and modeling imo 👍 I am a sucker for mr's though and dig the 111r, nsx, and bb as well.....

renault clio / nice on suzuka east
bmw (the special version / whyte with the black stripes) / nice on fuji

Ferrari 512 BB ,Renault Clio V6,Honda NSX etc etc
That would be a nice garage to .
Clio for groceries,NSXto not be late at work.
The 512 BB for the weekends.

I don't realy have a favourite road car - I like enjoying their differences.

My favourite racer is definitely the Corvette Z06 /Tuned: It just feels like a proper GT race car, planted to the road, fast round the corners and controllable. To me the GTLM just couldn't be true: Could you imagine racing that thing in the 12 hours of Sebring or 24 hours of Le Mans?!?

I'm really looking forward to the physics in the 370Z /tuned in the GT5 demo, because I hope we'll see a well sorted, neutral and driveable racer there - since the GT4 Nissan (350Z from this year, 370Z next year) must be like that in real life.

If I had to pick 1 car - Nissan GTR for me. Certainly not the fastest car in the game but because of its all around speed & handling balance can be very competitive up to about 700pp, & 750pp on certain tracks. I am drooling all over myself this month with the 750pp London TT. GTR was made for this event. Love that machine!

The Nissan GT-R really impressed me. It was so fun and easy to drive.

The car that left me with the worst impression would probably be the GT by Citroen. It had a terrible interior. A bit hard to see the road ahead of you.

I bought these off of amazon... and WOW it makes such a huge difference! Its soooo much easier to modulate the throttle and brake. Cars like the GTLM are actually almost drivable.

I was, am and continue to be most impressed with the Renault Clio. No matter what pp, somehow in the game it can keep up with just about anything.
Perhaps in GT5 we will have a Veyron vs Clio/Tuned race thread?!

To me, the 'holy trinity' consists of Corvette Z06/Tuned, Dodge Viper SRT10/Tuned and Ford GT LM Spec II. At 750/800PP, those are so awesome. 👍
