Yes, if you were wondering, I did a method where you just change the time zone to around 11:00PM from the previous day then go to Sport mode, then wait all the way till 12:00AM just to get a new car. This requires you to wait an hour every single time you do it.

Can you explain the time zone thing further? Seems kind of confusing

I started with the N300 Lancer, the GR4 Mustang and the GR3 650S. Since then, i got the GR3 AMG, SLS, VW GTV and GTR, as well as the GR4 GTR, SLS and Hyundai. Oh, and the 911 GT3 RS of course.

No, just kidding. But i wonder if the same concept of gift cars will be in the final game? I can imagine that many people hate it, because they always want to have most competitive car for every class, ASAP.

However, i kind of like the Beta approach. Only getting one car by day ensures that we give every single car a shot. Its also a great reason to do a couple of laps every single day to get a new car. And then, there is the element of surprise. This reminds me of the little sticker sets i bought as a kid... you never knew what was in there, but that is part of the charme.

If we would be able to choose or buy every favorite car right away, we wouldnt touch most of the cars and get bored soon. I'm interested to see how this will turn out in the final game. Of course i dont want to wait 200 days for my 911 GT3 just because of bad luck, but i still like the basic idea behind this.

Got em all aswell, but those aren't in my garage. Just won a second C7 Gr4 so i guess they aren't available.

Don't worry, you can buy the cars with credits on day 1.

There are several credit packs you get with the different versions of the final release.
250k till 2.5mil.

And i bet there will be microtransactions like in GT6.

Time of your location (lets say 19:02) + A location ahead of you (00:02).

I feel so dumb...

I swear this game doesn't want me to have the Group 3 R8. Only car remaining on the list. Instead I got yet another Group 4 Megane. That makes three.

I got nearly all, except the Z4, but i have two VW concepts and two Schulze GTRs, not that you can do anything with the spares...wth.

I was thinking about using duplicates as a way of testing if there's any deterioration modeling. Pretty sure there isn't, so it's probably a moot point.
 
34 cars in 2 weeks. Did the time zone trick yesterday. Just missing the McLaren and the Jag. No spares until now. :) I thought we would get all of the cars with no repetitions tho...
 
I got the 36 using the time zone trick early on, with no duplicates, but now have duplicates of about half of them. They're coming in the exact same order second time round, apart from it threw in one of my starting cars as the second dup.
 
Good catch, the order is indeed the same.

I have 41 cars, with 4 being duplicates, that means 37 in total, and considering i havent received the Z4, there should be 38 in total.

I have 108 cars which are 3 sets of the 36 cars that are available in the current demo. I did not receive any duplicates within those sets. The receiving order of the cars have been different with each set.

There are only 36 cars in the current demo. Please post a photo of your car list that would show a potential of there being 38 cars. I think you may have missed a couple of duplicate cars.
 
Why are we getting duplicates? It's not like this game has modeled chassis/engine wear for us to worry about vehicle condition.

The bigger question is why are people getting duplicates when they don't have all the cars yet? I understand it is random but it should be random of the cars you don't have. Just one more small thing that shows PD can be so inept at times

I could understand if it skipped a car if you skipped a day, but that still wouldn't explain why some people get dupes well before getting 30+ cars. As for random, will my cars seem to be coming from a pre-defined list, so far. It will be interesting to see when I get dupes of my other two starting cars. That list might have been generated by randomising, of course.

If certain cars weren't so dominant, it wouldn't be an issue :(

Nah, i am just playing this game after work, and it's taking its toll on me.

I had the Z4, got 42 with 6 dup. cases, sorry to cause any confusion.
