I've been interested to know which classes are faster if you combine particular ones to compare however, I don't really know how to compare these cars so I was wondering if you know the answers?

These are the classes I'm trying to compare:

GT3 vs. GTE

GT3 vs. GT300

LMP2 vs. LMPC

LMPC vs. GTE

GT500 vs. LMP2

10's GT1 vs. GT3/GTE

SS vs. GT4

10's GT1 vs. LMPC

V8 Supercars vs. GT3

In respective order...

Probably GTE (GT2 based)

GT3 would edge it, they need to be restricted for GT300

LMP2

It'd be close, but I feel an FLM would edge it

Possibly the GT500

GT1

SuperStars (by a fair margin, 5+ seconds a lap)

Close again, but probably GT1

GT3

GT3 vs. GTE

Not sure, but I think it would be close.

GT3 vs. GT300

GT3 cars do race in GT300. Unrestricted, a GT3 car would stomp all over them.

LMP2 vs. LMPC

LMP2 cars are faster.

LMPC vs. GTE

LMPC cars are faster.

GT500 vs. LMP2

LMP2 cars are quicker.

10's GT1 vs. GT3/GTE

I'm pretty sure the GT1 car would win that.

SS vs. GT4

SuperStars, as said above.

10's GT1 vs. LMPC

LMPC cars are faster

V8 Supercars vs. GT3

My gut tells me a GT3 cars would be faster. V8 Supercars are more fun to watch though, not saying GT3 cars aren't though.

Would like to compare the power to weight ratio of the typical GT3 car to a V8 supercar.
V8 Supercar - 439.72bhp to 460.99bhp

BMW GT3 - 426.89bhp

McLaren GT3 - Not known, calculated to around 448bhp

I'd imagine the GT3's have more downforce which makes up for the slightly worse power to weight ratio.

I went to look at the Qualifying times of 2013 Super GT Fuji 300km and 2013 WEC 6 Hours of Fuji.

GT500 and LMP2 had very similar times and the best GT300 time beat all the GTE cars.

I'd also say the GT1 is faster than LMPC, considering as some tracks the top GTE cars are almost as fast as them.

That's what I thought. If GTE cars are basically GT2 spec, and the PC's are often getting in the way of the CORE Porsches/Corvettes/Vipers, then a GT1 should beat them hands down.

Stop propagating myths. GT3 are restricted in every series they race (for BoP reasons), but so are LMP1, GTE and JAF GT300 as well. To make a comparison comparing "unrestricted" cars is silly because they never run that way, we have no idea how much faster any car could be. It's silly.

The GT3 I'm trying to compare is the ones used in the Blancpain series.

Well, I believe the Super GT officials allowed the GT3 cars to run FIA GT3 BOP last year, so GT300 class racing is a direct comparison between the two.

Propagating myths? Nice attitude. If he's taking about how they run in general, a BOP'd GT3, no matter what series it'd come from (apart from SuperGT), would destroy a BOP'd GT300.

But that's absolutely false. The GT3 cars in Super GT (as well as GT300 cars) are faster at Fuji than WEC GTE cars, which are in turn faster than most European GT3 cars (in their many specs).

Fuji 2013 (Qualifying):
Super GT JAF GT300: 1'37.610
Super GT GT3: 1'38.481
WEC GTE Pro: 1'38.605

Silverstone 2013 (Qualifying):
WEC GTE Pro: 1'59.593
BES GT3: 2'01.140

Spa 2013 (Qualifying):
WEC GTE Pro: 2'19.203
ADAC GT Masters GT3: 2'19.390
BES GT3: 2'20.383

So stop propagating myths, please. Thank you.

The winners in each class are as follows
GT3 vs GTE
GTE because they have better tires and are GT2 cars.
GT300 vs GT3
GT300 because of faster cornering speeds.
LMPC vs GTE
LMPC
GT500 vs LMP2
GT500 because they have now become almost as fast as lmp1
10's GT1 vs GT3
GT1 vs GT500
GT1 if 90's version and GT500 if 10's GT1 .

A new case of battles can be ensured with LMP3 vs. LMPC.

According to the Qualifying times from the 3/4 Hours of Silverstone. LMPC are far faster than LMP3 with LMPC even beating some 2015 LMP2 lap times while LMP3 were mixing it up with the GTs.

Though LMP3 is still very young and needs improvements while IMSA are planning on giving upgrades on the LMPC.

It will be interesting to see how both classes develop.

Bo
Only slightly contradictory.
If that created any confusion, the answer was GT500.

In case of laptimes from old GT1 ,they were significantly faster than GT500 times.

The latter is the correct one, of course.[/QUOTE]
Can you explain me a bit about LMP3 and LMPC specs and regulations,I want to know more about them?

Edit I found a comparision video for GT300 vs GT3 vs MotoGP vs ATC,

You can clearly see GT300 winning.

LMP3 and LMPC are both designed as entry levels for LMP Racing. LMPC is currently used in the IMSA WTSCC while LMP3 is currently used in the ELMS and the AsLMS.

LMPC debut in 2009 and is a class that contains only 1 vehicle permitted. An open-cockpit Oreca FLM09 with a GM engine.

LMP3 debut in 2015 and is more open, Multiple Chassis can be made and used though they are smaller than LMP2 and LMPC as well as the Mandatory requirement of them being Closed-Cockpit. All Chassis have to use a Nissan engine.

You can clearly see GT300 winning.

Here you go again. You cannot compare a free practice lap (GT3) to a qualifying lap (GT300). They need to both be in qualifying, in the same weather conditions, to get anywhere near a direct comparison.

I don't know. The diesels are light. The V8SC might have the next highest torque unless the turbo GT3 cars have more. If all aids are off(as a V8SC doesn't have any), would the biggest tyres be the GT500 cars? is that an advantage? I'd think the lightest car(s) might win.

V8SC is about 100kg lighter than the NASCAR but the NASCAR much more power and a higher rev range.

A few years back Radio Le Mans did a comparison between just about every major racing class. They used Circuit Gilles Villeneuve as a starting point as at the time F1, NASCAR and Grand Am were all visiting the circuit yearly, with Champ Car visiting just a few years prior. From there they were able to make some estimates. It would be a little out of date now, but it would be pretty handy if anyone were to find the list (or a download of the episode).

In terms of laptimes too GT300 is faster during qualifier in the video track i.e sepang
Ferrari 458 Italia GT3 2:04.867
Honda CRZ GT300 2:03.045
A F1A GT3 car in that Super GT race did 2.03.908 which is clearly faster than asian lemans or standard gt3 series.Anyway for GT1 vs GT3 I have uploaded a video for GT3 qualifier vs F1 GTR in race video.
