Exactly what cookie should I delete to get my "messages read" updated properly again?

The common advice is to just clear / delete all cookies, but I want my cookies as they are. I just want to delete the one that controls messages read.

Cheers,

MasterGT

I've noticed something about my "updated thread" - sometimes it keeps being highlighted even if I've visited the thread a day ago and no new replies have been made. Also the updated threads automatically dis-highlight (?) itself after I'm inactive at GTP for say, 30 minutes and then comes back again. It's annoying because then I have to go subscribed threads and then check every single one - timeconsuming. Is this normal? Or is there a way to keep unread threads highlighted until I visit it?

I hope I got my message through...sorry I do know my question is completely irrelevant of the topic but I didn't want to make a new thread...thanks.

MasterGT, that would probably be the bbthread_lastview cookie, but I would just recommend deleting all of them from 'www.gtplanet.net' to be sure. It won't hurt anything getting rid of the other ones from the site.

GT4_Rule, you're probably just viewing an old cached version of the page - that's the typical cause of old threads still appearing as 'new' days later. It is true that there is a 30 minute inactivity sign-out. This is both a security measure and a feature to help you keep things straight and to make the 'Users Online' list accurate. If you want to leave the computer but want to remain logged in, just click the "New Posts" button in the yellow box at the top right of the screen and leave it on that page. It will refresh every few minutes, keeping you logged in for an indefinite amount of time and keeping old threads shown as unread.

Also, in the future, please create your own thread for separate issues.
