It's funny most of the non-US residents like Monico.
I like Laguna better because of the arua(sp?) that surrounds it. Non-US residents wouldn't get it just like most US people don't get FIA. :thatsodd: I love FIA most hicks around here love NASCAR

How come everyone talks about nailing the corkscrew? It's really not that hard... brake, downshift to 2nd, then pave your way down...

Both. Sometimes I hate em, sometimes I love em. Also depends on the car I'm in. I love an F-1 at Monaco. A Vette is better a Laguna.

As for the licence fees that the developers pay, I doubt they have troblem with that. If you notice, every track has tons of sign of all the sponsors in the game. I don't know if they pay for each sign but if they do it's gotta add up.

I have to say monaco is the best, I cant think of a track that even compars to it, I mean laguna is great but monaco is just a class above.

Thats exactly why I prefer Monaco, its more of a challenge, lap after lap. Laguna isn't in my view, even the corkscrew becomes a bit dull after a while.

Both tracks are good. You feel a sense of accomplishment when you nail the corkscrew at Laguna Seca, or that nasty little turn at Monaco that ends with a car wrecking wall then a funky little chicane.
Both tracks are good for testing skills and cars. But, there are tracks that I personally, like much better.
1. Midfield
2. Tokyo R 246
3. Grand Valley
4. Rome Circuit
All quite technical but easier to drive and ultimately enjoy.

Oh yeah, I forgot to add, I lived on the Monterey Peninsula in CA for four years. So Seca is my "home" track. AS far as the comment that Seca is about raw HP. IMHO it is about tight gearing so you can use all that HP, Monaco is similar, the difference is that a car that will spin its tires coming out of corners will put you into the wall at Monaco.

I really like monaco, myself. Never a dull moment, every corner will challenge you. Plus, having to get a car set up for really quick acceleration and something that could turn fairly decent. Again, the 787 is 1 bad a$$ race car for this track, I think. Max out the gears, loosen up the sway bars a click or 2, and a stage 3/4 turbo - you're set. Keep in mind, I do not have a shark port, so I can't cheat. I give you guys a hot lap time before long.

Monaco is really fun, i find laguna seca to be a bit of a bore after about 10 laps, but i could easliy go round monaco for 100laps, also all the back ground city and stuff is well detailed and fun to drive round its also a good challenge.

Both suck, i don't mid racing on them but no areas to drift, i like mifield and apricote hill.

Yeah, laguna is like in the middle of some giant desert, i do like midfield and apricot hill but i also like where it is set and midfield and apricot hill are not really in places that i like for a good race setting, i do like racing on them just not their settings.
