What's up? I'm new to the "hybrid" thing and am wanting to get into it. I don't know how to make a hybrid yet. . . . what I want to know is: which one should I get? The X-port, Sarkport, Maxdrive or Dexdrive? I'm wanting also to use my laptop as a memory card. Doesn't one of these able you to swap replays too? Any help will be useful. . .

Thanks,
Jeramy

I have the MAX drive and its works excellent. I use to have the shark port; but it takes to long. With the max drive you can make and load hybrids in about 5 to 10 mins. Hope this helps :)

As far as I'm aware, DexDrives are for PS1 saves.

The XPort and Sharkport are identical. The MaxDrive is fundamentally identical in principle. All three plug into the PS2 USB port (you can pick either one...) - the Ports then connect to a PC, the MaxDrive is just a standalone USB pen drive) - and allow you to remove information from the Memory Card in slot 1.

The MaxDrive has the advantage that it is portable - so you don't need to lug a PS2 about (although 1 of my 4 is now a dedicated Xport machine - I just move the memory card) - and is still made, so you can buy it new in shops. For about £10.

I got a MaxDrive 3 days ago. I'd definitely recommend it - it's really good for hybrids and is great for other games too. I only have one memory card and got the MaxDrive for less than a new memory card. So now it's like having (nearly) infinitely many memory cards for the price of one 👍

So yeh, get the MaxDrive if I were you - 'tis a very good investment 👍

Hey thanks peeps for the great help you all have provided me. It looks like the Maxdrive is the winner and I'm going out tomar to get one and start to biuld "hybrids"!

Thanks,
Jeramy

return it and get a codebreaker v.8, its cheaper if you already have a flash memory stick. as for your maxdriv, if you are using a new ps2 (The super thin ones) there have been issues with it's compatability

I have an AR Max right now (not the one with the jump drive) and I can't get it to recognize my Jump drive. I am currently trying to get a Sharkport or Xport. Is one better than the other or can one do more than the other?

If anyone has some suggestions on how I can get my AR Max to recognize and avoid buying the things above please PM me and let me know thanks.

While I'm at it... I went to Codejunkies.com support area and d/led a file I think containing a jump drive support. I don't know anything about this stuff so I don't know if I can load it on my PS2 to make my jump drive work. Here's the link Codejunkies.com/support Alll of the files are at the bottom left corner

Thanks for your help
