Forza is much better than Shift 2, I have both.
@sandboxgod (creepy nickname)
I can see that you can't even imagine playing GT or Forza with the pad. Is it really that "realistic" when playing with a wheel, because if that's true, I'll be wining everything once I get my stand up and running.
I still haven't decided on the wheel, am back towards the Logitech because I googled the Fanatec wheel and saw some youtube videos that were pretty noisy. I guess I'll have to play Forza with the pad then. End of discussion![]()
YES and with a pair of clubsports you should have some advantage over other forza users stuck with a pad. They cannot quite 'feel' the braking threshold when ABS is off. And Forza grants extra credits, etc for turning off assists. With a pair of Clubsports you can feel the braking threshold.
I wouldn't too much stock in youtube vids. Those are just the worst care scenarios from the rare, unlucky few that drew bad straws. Ever see all the fan complaints in the T500RS thread? And still to this day my wheel is quite silent in my book
Granted a Logitech should be more reliable and quiet due to the---- how can I phrase this, the older technology and much weaker FFB
[edit] But wait, pad users may still smoke you cause this console games have software to ensure they can compete. So even though a wheel is more enjoyable and much more immersive you may still get smoked. I believe one of FM 3's top racer (DaveySkills?) was a pad user. If we were talking bout PC sims then it would be the inverse. Pad users have virtually no chance because they dont cater to them
